This just came up on Twitter too, some Liverpool mouthpiece is reviewing Comolli's track record with Spurs.

Apparently Comolli's debatable signings for Spurs were Corluka, Huddlestone and Bent.

Oh, and Comolli's 'poor signings' include Zokora, Jenas, Woodgate, BAE and Pavlyuchenko

Nothing debatable about that. He didn't sign him.

Not quite sure about the selected signings from the BBC: I thought Lennon, Hudd & Mido were Frankie signings. Wasn't Jenas signed during the FA era as well?

Looks like the new Liverpool owners have been impressed by our club and decided to take theirs in a similar direction.

This was all part of Levy's plan. Commoli leaves for a couple of seasons, and goes to Liverpool to fuck them up from the inside. But they did that last season by themselves, so now, they will go down instead of just drifting to midtable obscurity. :-D

Good point VegasII - love to open the 'who on earth did Comolli sign?' debate.

He'll get them some good young players, but don't be surprised if he undermines Hodgson, and Woy is wagging the finger at him when he leaves in 6 months.

Great move for Liverpool big loss for us.

Considering how successful Redknapp has been since we changed structure I don't think its a big loss to us at all. Comolli is a good scout however I don't think a director of football role suits him, head of Scouting a youth development like Arnesen is at chelsea would be a better position for him.

Why? He brought in a fair few of the players we've now built the team around, but he's been gone two years we're doing just fine without him!

He'll probably do exactly the same to Liverpool as he did to us: Buy good players but not necessarily in the positions they need them most, and do a good job on the youth policy.
