Comolli, even more than Arnesen, turned the club around and assembled the players Redknapp has been basking off.

We're also desperate for a DoF now after 5 wasted windows without one. If Redknapp swallowed his pride and let Levy bring one in now, he might even save his own job.

I think some fans are getting upset at Dan because so many wanted Comolli out and can't stand being wrong by seeing the job he's doing at L'pool.... obviously many didn't realised what kind of job he'd done at Spurs to bring the club up to the level he did.
At L'pool - a club with better infrastructure than Spurs - all he needed to do was a to make a few changes (like replacing Hodgson with Kenny) and SPEND all the money (Carroll & Suarez) from sales (Torres) immediately...
And it was not just about signing players, but the whole set - like the academy, med staff etc etc.

St. Etienne failure? They were escaping relegation several season in a row before Comolli came in the in 2 season he made them into contender for 4-5th spot in the league.

Before anybody blame's Levy, it was Commoli's clever idea to sell Carrick and bring in Zokora. And it was probably Commoli's idea to sell Berbatov and Keane because I'm sure he thought he had bought adequate replacements in Bent and Pavlychenko.
