Was a running joke around us as Slash would make a big jump motion on the big notes, there’d be a pause and then we’d hear it

Never take many photos but this gives an idea of how far back we were (hate sitting for these things but the wife hates standing as she can never see anything :banghead:)

Christ, that is a long way back! I was somewhere in between those two control stations, near the front of the first railing.

Assuming I can get to Liverpool street, is there a direct bus to the ground and back on Saturday
There's another rail strike so don't know if the train to whl is running

Just bumping this as it's back a page
Thx

Only seen Springsteen once. 4th July 1985 at Wembley. Nine days later I was back for Live Aid.
I have seen Springsteen once at the Emirates but I never paid for the ticket and refused to buy anything when I was there. So I can still live with myself.

The 149 goes from Liverpool Street and directly past the stadium unless there are diversions in place.

Takes almost an hour.

As far as I'm aware all trains running. There is currently travel advice on Spurs' OS for Friday. Hoping they update for Saturday as I am going.

Greater anglia are on strike Saturday, apparently 1 train per hour, I'll be coming from wickford
Not sure if the overground to whl is although spurs website deffo says no trains after the concert

Cheers, just seen that on GA website. WHL is TFL so trains should be running. I believe you can book a coach from Chelmsford to the concert.

Yes, its a 24hr service - every 7-10 minutes up to midnight on Saturdays then every half hour early on Sunday.

Although White Hart Lane station is TFL operated I believe they stopped running shortly after 18:00 during the last strike.

If you bookmark this page (White Hart Lane Live Departures) you check before concert to see if they are still running.

Brilliant thx, if the trains aren't running I'm a bit worried about getting back for the last train from Liverpool Street at 00.50 so may leave a bit early sadly

The only thing I'm not sure about is bus diversions. The club website for previous events seems to contradict itself - stating buses are diverted via Lansdowne Road and rejoin at Northumberland Park junction but the map only shows the 349 taking that route, the rest divert via Bruce Grove.

Maybe they haven't updated the map yet as I think they wanted all routes to go via Lansdowne Road.

It's all very confusing for Saturday because this seems to be a strike limited to certain rail companies and not a national strike , as far as I can see TFL Overground will be running from LIverpool St to White Hart Lane Stn & vice versa, think they might be a different union and not ASLEF, it looks like N. Park & T Hale are affected but not WHL stn

"• Fans are advised to use Tottenham Hale for the Victoria line and White Hart Lane for London Overground services from and to central London."

If I can get a train from Liverpool Street there and back I should be OK to make the last train back to wickford and even get to see the whole concert.
Will need to keep checking as the week goes on I suppose

Sorry for so many questions but if the 149 diverts and idea how much longer than an hour it will take to get back to Liverpool street

I should say that the journey times I'm giving are based on Google results not personal knowledge, but Lansdowne Road and Bruce Grove are closer to Liverpool Street so might cut 5-10 minutes off your journey.

However take in to account your walk to the stop and how many people (fellow fans) are also trying to get on the bus. Hopefully trains will be running and you will be okay.

A question for you - is it correct that the concert starts at 15:30?
