Chelsea Fans -

It should though, we are directly competing with them, and they would not sell to us if the shoe was on the other foot.
Spurs price should be £70m+
Seriously f**k spurs, and f**k Levy.
If it was Villa or Everton, I'd be disappointed at this stage given his start, but we are strengthening a massive rival. Spurs look good this season too, not that much of a stretch to say Gallagher going there could be the difference between us and them for the last Champions League spot.
I'm hoping it breaks down at some point. Would rather lose him for less money in January to someone else.
Seriously f**king Tottenham.

Thing is, we’re signing all of these random kids who I bet won’t make the first team. It’s just shiny new toys.
Trev and Conor are worth their place in the squad. They’re good enough to be at Chelsea.
Really hope we don’t sell Conor. There’s no need to. And especially not to Spurs.

Spurs aren't seen as our direct rivals....
Man United
Arsenal
Liverpool
Those are the teams we have been tussling with for nearly 2 decades now.
The club won't see spurs as a club we cannot deal with for the same reasons as fans, just doesn't happen.

Shouldn't even sell him in general let alone sell him to Spurs.
Really don't want us to sell Connor. Lad has really grown on me. Not least for his spoken and demonstrated love for the club.
Poch has had him playing every game so far and he's been a stand out performer in every one, i'd be very concerned if the board starts selling players that Poch clearly prefers.

This one would annoy me.
Not too bothered about Chalobah and even Maatsen (don't think he's defensively good enough for LB nor attackingly strong enough for the front areas) but there's literally no need to sell a player who will die for this club and is improving by the game to Spurs of all teams.
Hopefully he does a JT and refuse to move.

Ridiculous when they have agreed to pay 45mi for Johnson.
We must be desperate for cash at such prices. His minimum should be 50mill in this market, plus 10mill Spurs tax.
Above all we should not be selling him.

As an aside a few people on that forum are saying if he goes its against Pochs wishes.
Interesting take on the players they've spent a billion pounds on if they think Gallagher will make the difference.

Aside from the other complexities I’m slightly concerned that we’ve heard nothing about what he wants. He’s a boyhood player and has started and finished every game, even with the mess there it’s no guarantee he wants to leave. Hopefully we’ve done our due diligence there but I’m worried this ends with a new contract for him.

Would expect at this stage that he both knows they're willing to cash in, and he would be open to joining

I'm sure I've seen an "all parties willing".

Can see Chelsea having a fax machine glitch like they did with Their winger a few windows ago.

Conor Gallagher: Tottenham make £40m verbal bid for Chelsea midfielder on Deadline Day

Chelsea duo Conor Gallagher and Trevoh Chalobah remain in limbo over potential moves to Tottenham and Bayern Munich respectively.

Chelsea have received a verbal £40million bid for Gallagher from Spurs and have kept lines of communication open with their London rivals on Transfer Deadline Day.

The offer falls short of Chelsea’s nearly £50m asking price but all parties believe a deal could be struck in certain circumstances.

Tottenham need to sell Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg to Fulham to make any official bids but the Denmark international is currently reluctant to move to Craven Cottage.

Surely there's not all this noise and we haven't even sounded out his desire to come...

Just feels to me like there are better ways to spend the Pierre money than here as even with him gone we've got 6 senior midfielders for 3 spots, and that's probably 1 too many anyway, and none of them are on the way out, while we're light at CB, LB, and up front. Another wasted season for Skipp incoming.

Hopefully Ange knows what he's doing given that he's clearly at the wheel for this one!

I think when everyone is fit again he isn't possibly even on the bench, I do wonder if Boehly will be happy with any of his 1bn signings being left out of matchday squads. Im sure he is ok to come to Spurs.

Can't we go for Chalobah if Tosin isn't an option? Sell/loan Dier and Sanchez, bring in Chalobah and Kelly. Gallagher to replace Pierre?

He is an upgrade on Hojberg and Skipp. Decent cover for Maddison. This is not a bad signing. I think he could fit well in Anges system.
