Conte asks Paratici to sign ‘perfect’ £10.8m Roma star Nicola Zalewski

Antonio Conte has asked director Fabio Paratici to ‘catch’ Nicola Zalewski as the Tottenham boss is ‘literally crazy’ for him. The 20-year-old has made just 25 senior appearances for the Serie A side, contributing three assists in that time.

Can't see him coming here to be in the queue behind Perisic and Sessegnon. I don't think Conte is convinced Sessegnon can stay fit though, but finding another 'just in case' LWB to back up what we already have will be pretty tricky.

Perisic is also getting older, having this guy and Sessegnon as LWB option and then maybe Son and Perisic as left forward position? While Perisic can cover LWB is Sessegnon does get injured also?

I think Perisic has a couple of good seasons left in him and then some more as a less frequent performer. I'd love us to be taking a look at Raum or Borna Sosa if that's the route we're taking but I know nothing about Zalewski and happily trust Conte and Paratici if that's who they like. Paqueta's been mentioned too.

Edit. So, after some in depth research (10 minutes on Youtube), I like the look of this kid and can see why Conte likes him. He's quick, skillful, 2 footed and plays with his head up. AC and FP, you have my permission to proceed with negotiations.
