Antonio Conte insisted it will take time to turn Tottenham into a trophy-winning side following their Champions League exit. Speaking at his post-match press conference, Conte said: “To win you have to build and you need time.

“We are working to try to improve, to go step-by-step, but if someone thinks in one year you start to win, that is difficult.

“It’s not easy. The only way is to continue to work. We have to build and have patience.

“I’ve always said the same things; that we need to have time and patience because in this moment we don’t have a solid foundation to be competitive to win to win, in my opinion.”

Now the players have started to turn, can't see any point for patience.

Go and have another couple of months recovery with you're whole coaching staff...

Commit to a 3 year project then. You can't say you need time one minute then in the next breath insinuate that you're leaving.

Don't get me wrong, Conte has had a tough year, so I sympathise and understand that he'd prefer to be back home in Italy. However he needs to make the decision about being here and working things out or to go, stop wasting our time and money. He's not doing us a favour by staying half heartedly.

Bring back Poch or get in Tuchel. Give us a chance to stay in 4th.

I agree, if you want time commit to to the club, otherwise fuck off and let someone else have time.

Having been there to endure that shit-show last night, its now more obvious to me than ever before that Conte hasn't got a Scooby-Doo. He has to go in my opinion and it may as well be now, cause the season is over and our chances of finishing in the top four is now in danger too.

I'm 50/50 on weather to sack Conte or back him, if he's leaving at the end of the season he might as well go now and let Mason have it till the end.

what really pisses me off is the lack of continuity in the managers we hire, what is our system? our style? what are we? we just swap from one system to another and hope.

Poch had a great two years, asked for a rebuild and was rewarded with windows where we bought nobody, we go stale and then instead of replacing him with ten Hag who was gettable and plays the same front footed attacking football and could utilise the players we had and maybe get a tune out of the ones going a bit stale we rip all that up and hire Mourinho who's system is nothing like were used to and were stuck with players he cant use in his system. So, he gets some players and were now a more defensive style, it does not work (surprise surprise) and he goes, the Debacle that followed with Nuno is a complete waste of time and now we have one of the worlds best managers and he cant even make it work and were now thinking about getting Poch back who will not be able to start over with players not really suited to how his system works and here we go again.

I'm sick to death of it, the only constant is Enic/Levy/board and it will never change for the better until Enic & Levy fuck off.

Agreed.

I would add that we'd lost some of the key players who made our system work during our peak seasons under Poch. Dembele had left, Wanyama was crocked and Eriksen's heart had already left. Without those three players, we had lost the engine and creativity that made the system work. Before Posh was sacked, it had become clear that no combination of Ndombele / Lo Celso / Dele / Winks / Sissoko was going to be as effective.
Lo Celso may have fared better under ten Hag, but I'm confident Ndombele and Dele would not have done. Instead of the system being ripped up by Mourinho, I think the squad probably would have been ripped up be ten Hag.

15 years paying for the most expensive tickets in the country. Yeah, sure Antonio. In your own sweet time. I’m sure you’ll be here in August to challenge for trophies.

Completely agree. If he wants to do short term deals then he is under pressure to deliver short term results.

If he’s needs time, then he needs to commit.

So sick of Spurs managers talking down the club. Sick of Conte, his boring football and the rubbish he talks. Says we need patience and are not ready to challenge for trophies. Not ready to beat the mighty Sheffield United. We finished above Arsenal and United last season and they seem to be doing ok. The reason we are not competing is Conte’s useless management and signings. He is clearly going to go and we need to work on sorting out a new manager as soon as possible.
