I bet the players are laughing away at being compared to donkeys.
Sure the comparison isn't without some merit, but conte's job is to build their confidence.

Pochetino couldn't do that, neither Mourinho or Nuno, what makes you think Conte will be able to do that?

Pep and Klopp wouldn't be doing any better. We need better players, in case it hasn't become abundantly obvious by now.

Couldn’t agree more, stumbling into cup finals just makes it worse, Levy uses it as leverage against spending.

We need new players and not young hopefuls, full internationals, with some experience, at least two defenders a midfielder and a striker.

Agree. Getting to the CL final back then gave many a false sense of progress. The reality is that side was already in decline and was an offside decision away from being knocked out by City in the QF and engineered one of the biggest football miracles by getting past a youthful Ajax side that completely out footballer them over 2 legs in the semis. Whenever people benchmark our decline against the achievement of getting to the CL final, I shrug my shoulders as I realise we were extremely fortunate to get there!

It has been discussed already - most of these players last night were not with pochettino, only lloris, dier, davies, winks, son, and kane.
OK that's 6, so actually most of that side were with poch, lol, but which of these players are you calling out here? You can't pin it all on winks.

Playing football when young all the kids would line up and you picked your teams. Different combination would give different performances. Sometime the older lads would group and dominate the match. This is the reality. Conte needs to find the right combination from the players he has and players to bring in or collect/buy all the bigger lads (chelsea) and effectively cheat. With time a good coach wil find the right combination.
