How did the Argie's do? Did Lamela play?
Lamela didn't make it.

Though there were growing calls throughout the match for Di Maria to be replaced by him (on Twitter). Be interesting to see if Di Maria keeps his place for the next game, he is not completely rated it seems by the fans at the moment given his form.

Whether or not that opens the door for Lamela, who knows. They already have Messi, Aguero, Di Maria, Pastore starting with Lavezzi, Higuain and Tevez on the bench. Lamela is well rated in Argentina too though.

Good goal, Man City combo of a whipped Zabaleta cross and a great near post header from Aguero.
They dominated really, especially the first half but Uruguay defended well.

The Argies do look suspect when being counter attacked though, Otamendi, Zabeleta and Mascherano are very good players, but the middle of the park is left open and damage can be caused to them I think.

Just noticed that Balanta is not even in Colombia's squad. Until 2-3 seasons ago he was seen as a future world class defender (with pace, ball skills, composure etc), with Barca and Real M., interested in him. Now not even Porto - or any other Primeira div nor La Liga nor Ligue 1 club - seem to be intereseted.

Colombia win. Great game. Barny at the end of the game, ref flashing reds and yellows all over the shop.

Colombia stoked it up before the final whistle by getting a bit nasty with Neymar and Alves.

Good to see Lamela get an, all be it supper brief, taste of playing for his country at a finals. Even it was only 6 mins in the Copa America.

Also, Jamaica were really enjoyable to watch the second half. turned into a good game.

South America knows no bounds.

Cavani got his ass fingered, slapped the perp and got sent off for it. Becoming the first player to be sent off for being a victim of sexual assault:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Classic South American footy:LOL:
