forget eto'o. Bent is our version of him.
Last season I think the general idea was Berbatov and Keane would start and then with injuries and form Bent or Defoe would get a chance. Problem was Berbatov and Keane both spent the entire season injury-free and were our two best players so Bent didn't get much of a look in and the snipers took their chance and labelled him as over-rated and a useless signing.
To be fair to him Darren Bent hasn't done much wrong and i still rate him as a good striker. With a better unit in midfield next season with more creativity I fully expect Bent to shut up a lot of the people in the media and this site when he's given a chance to show what he can do.
Maybe a bit off-topic, but Hitzfeld said at Bayern this season that Luca Toni is the worst trainer he's ever seen in his life.I know someone within the club and they see him every day in training- doesn't fancy him- really thinks he's cack.

Based on Ramos' time at Seville, he was happy using Kanoute as a big mobile target man and I can see Bent being used the same way next season.
Bent can score goals given a run, just the same as Defoe.
Berbs will leave and Bent will play.
I really hope not - I don't know how anyone could want that. Have just seen a re- run of 1-3 against L' ar5e when he was clean through against the keeper at 1-2 with 5 minutes left. Maybe if he would have scored then instead of freezing then his Spurs career might have taken off.
