Out captain was CONVICTED for drink driving, is that ok? Passible? I have read the Ronaldo case thoroughly, as far as I know he is still innocent. VdV beat his wife, does he get off too?

No, but I wasn't talking about either of them. In Hugo's case he has at least had to admit and pay penance for it, something which VdV has never done and obviously the reports are horrendous.
That wasn't the only allegation against Ronaldo by the way. He has been questioned on accusations from five separate women, and as a matter of record paid off Kathryn Mayorga and had his lawyers get her to sign an NDA so she wouldn't talk about what happened.
So that's five women who have come forward to accuse him. How many were too scared of his profile and financial power and public profile to do so? Judging from the reporting rates of sexual assault, probably a lot more. And given what has happened in his case who can blame them?
Almost every girl I have ever been very close to has a story about unwanted sexual contact from minor to severe, and it rubs me the wrong way to see these allegations brushed under the carpet and people hero worshipping the perpetrators. Imagine how it must feel for those who have suffered it to see the general media and public adulation for him.

I'm married with a daughter so I feel exactly the same way as you do with regards this, I simply said I was looking forward to seeing him play. If he was found guilty he should be locked up, for what ever time is deemed right. I don't condone rape or violence against anyone. I don't worship any footballer but I really don't know what you want me to say here to be honest.
Hugo got caught, its not like he admitted to his crime after the fact and I have my own strong personal reasons against drink driving which I will not get into on here, and if its ok with you I would rather leave it at that, I apologise for calling your comment stupid.
