All season long, our crossing has been largely based around Andy Sinton style, stabs into the box.
It's either the diagonal to Crouch for a knockdown, or standing it up to the back post to for him. IT DOESN'T WORK!! It gives the defender the chance to get under it and make it hard for the forward, and the ball has no pace on it to get a header on target.
Today, two lovely whipped balls into the box from Pav and Hudd, a nice little bit of movement and it's hard for the defender to get there, the ball has the pace on it, so just needs direction, and Crouch gets two rare goals.
Will we learn a lesson? Or when Lennon is back will he resort to that poxy cut under the ball cross which is as useful an offensive weapon as a sponge sword.
