I know that he's a bit hit n miss with a lot us fans and his record in the league isnt the greatest but in the CL, the guy is first choice and has never let us down. Worked his socks off again last night and finished the goal well..

His work level was amazing, he seems to have more belief against European teams, he attacks the ball in a way he does not in domestic competition.

Last night it was the Milan players just trying to stop him winning headers rather than him just being happy to have the ball hit him, he wanted to win every header and you could see him fired up by his interactions with Gattuso....there was no smiling and sticking out the tongue, he was fired up and determined to win that game.

Crouch was a lion last night, the match winner and the hardest worker.

He did really well. How key has Beckham been in helping our players play the right balls to Crouch? Who knows...

I've always been annoyed when people say this player or that player cant play as a lone striker. You simply need to be aware of the way to play with Crouch upfront, and how that differs from having a Defoe upfront.

The team is gelling really well and continues to improve. Exciting times.

Crouch seems to play better with VDV who seems to read his play better than Defoe at present.

Crouch is suited to the slower European game. He has more time to put together his moves than he does in the Prem. He was the same with Liverpool.
