I can’t believe that VAR got yet another decision so wrong yet again, I saw it once and the ball has rolled down Ayew’s arm after he’s controlled it in his chest.
How can these ‘trained officials’ be so incompetent?
We are not going to get anything out of VAR after the Liverpool match

That was a fucking handball and should have been chalked off, but a reminder you have to stay switched on for 90, nowadays 100 plus, minutes. Porro was a lapse in concentration, that chance at the end wtaf is Romero doing with that cross-field pass (all the team were drawn to the right flank for starters where the play had come from, even without the miss-hit). This was a pretty hard-fought win, not at our best by a long shot, a reminder not to undo your good work and that we always have to keep high standards and don't lose your focus.

First half extremely flat. Second half we at least managed a gear or two higher and though it was hardly scintillating we managed to strike early on and then wear them down with our possession game and it gradually got easier. A very good win though because we have taken the opportunity the way the fixtures have fallen to move ourselves further clear at the top. Nothing to get carried away over, but we've done our business for the weekend, put a modicum more pressure on by stretching the gap, and now on the other teams to respond again.

Fantastic result but the refs and VAR in this league are an utter joke. Week in and week out. Almost takes the joy out of the win how much they piss me off.

Lovely seeing players and fans celebrating Bentancur's return
VAR was not clear on it being a handball so I think that it has to be a goal. We have had our fair share of decisions, this one I think was the correct one.

That one angle they zoomed in on clearly showed the ball changed direction after passing his arm.

Farcical the goal was given.

Need to finish off these games better and Porro needs a rocket there as that one fuck up flipped the whole game on its head. Especially away from home..
He was never getting near it, so to sell himself like that was totally brainless.

Yep, it's so utterly blatant. You can clearly see the spin of the ball changing when it touches his arm.

Not sure on anyone who thought that was a poor performance. Palace used every trick in the book to make the game as miserable as possible for how we want to play, and we still got the goals. How many games do we see a team set up to fuck us over and have no intention of playing their own game at all, and we can't find a way?

Struggled with it first half, but kept on and on and on and found a way, as we have elsewhere this season. A proper "great teams" performance, for me. Played our game and got it done again. Bet City would have taken such against Wolves.

1. But we still won which is great.

2. i actually think although we weren’t all flowing football, we controlled the match and if we had a better final ball we could have had another 4/5 guilt edged chances

3. also why can’t we play like this against chelsea. They are statistically as crap as palace looking at the league table lol
Because Chelsea have much better players all over the pitch.
only second half did we control the game but we didn’t actually create much at all bar the 2nd.
I’m delighted we won and you can’t always play well but we can say whrn we aren’t great.

Love these post match images of the team going around hugging each other on the pitch et cetera. This is a happy squad.
The Bentancur moment after the match almost had me in tears. The players celebrating with him like he just scored a match-winner.

Not going to worry about the goal.

I watched as many replays as the VAR official - and there just was not a definitive view of the ball touching his arm. He was pulling it away as the ball was dropping, so it was impossible to see any contact. Just one of those things.
It was obvious in normal play it hit his hand to his advantage. The officials in this league are crap. Simple as that.

How can Neville say we aren't challengers when we're literally top and challenging right now. Not saying it will last but the fact is the fact.

To be fair, he said pretty much the exact same about Arsenal all of last season - only this season he's got his head up their arse

Spurs have to start kicking up a stink with the officials. That added time; the lack of protection and VAR ignoring a clearly stated LAW of the game is just ridiculous. It's not our fault var shit the bed against Liverpool in one instance.

Just gets you booked though now though doesn't it?

Ayew must have broke some sort of record tonight before he finally got booked. Eduard not much better.
