It's a benefit to us that Palace beat Liverpool to get to 38pts rather than sitting on 35pts and one place above Hull. And it'll be up to us to go and win this with the majority of possession that Palace won't contest. And I think we're well able because trying not to lose doesn't do us any good. If we can get back to the mentality, solidity, and threat we've had for the last 7 league games prior to the semi-final, then I think we can take this and change the narrative back to Chelsea's tricky tie at Goodison.

I'd love to see a repeat of Dele's wonder goal and an excellent Spurs win.

Dele scores that goal against Palace on my daughter's first birthday.

Wanyama scores a header as we beat Palace at the start of the season. Days after I find out my second child is on the way. My wife and unborn child are at the game.

My second daughter born 3 days ago will be sitting through her first match (since birth, 3 in the womb, all wins) with me tonight. Palace again. Come on you Spurs!

Hope your continues to be a baby factory if that brings us wins.

I find this a bit unnecessary Gaz. Feeling deflated over football and feeling depressed are two completely different things.

This is all just your opinion though right?

Lol - yes! Just logical that PVA and Sakho come in. Purely speculative about the other two. Just can't see their front 3 being rested - they aren't exactly old!

Btw, whilst it is right to acknowledge Palace's recent run it is worth considering:
- They were blooming lucky to get a win at the Bridge. CFC were far better and were surprisingly profligate that day.
- Arsenal were all over the shop a few weeks ago and Sam targeted their two centre-backs.
- Liverpool are actually pretty dross and uninspired without Mane (and Henderson) and their defence awful.

During that time we have pulverised all that has come before us in the league. We have goals across our attacking players and strong defensively.

It could go wrong of course but we should be confident.

On a betting note, Crystal Palace are 5/1 tonight. Not bad value for a team that have won 3-0 against the gooners at home, sandwiched between a win at the Bridge and Anfield.

I propose we all take the 5/1 so we have a cash consolation for when we inevitably lose tonight #spursy

Amongst their football specials Skybet have the gooners to finish above us and win the FA Cup : 250/1.

It felt dirty, but I seriously considered putting a couple of quid on it.

Be very interested to see how we react tonight - a real challenge of our yet to be proven but much vaunted new and improved mentality.

After being in a coincidentally similar position last season (chasing the leaders and playing after they've played), tonight will be a big test of how far they've come and how much/if they've learnt from last season.

I agree with @djee regarding the Chelsea game especially, Chelsea were amazingly shit up front that day.

That said, it's rare palace give us an easy ride and I'm not expecting one tonight. Any kind of win will do

It is all about whether luck smiles at us tonight. No matter how good we play unless luck is not on our side! Believe. COYS

I'm nervous about this one, not because I don't think we can win but because we've won 7 in a row and I can't help but think the run has to come to an end sooner or later. Then again, we've won those games because we're a quality side and our opponents have not been able to cope with us.

Palace are due a loss to a top team but who knows? It has score draw written all over it :arghh:

Suffice to say, Poch will be desperate for a quick start. If we can (greedy I know) but a couple past them early then I suspect Palace's minds will drift to the match at Burnley. Hoping they do a WBA and down tools now they are pretty much safe!

Jonathon Moss is the ref...I can't really recall any contentious decisions he's made so hopefully not going to spoil the game with rash calls.

Contain Zaha and Andros, stop Cabaye getting forward too often and then Benteke is isolated. The rest of their team is nowt special.

Fingers crossed we restrict their chances and get an early advantage. COYS
