Grey Fox has said not for long in the Cebellos thread, so I'm assuming it means we're close to signing this chap. I doubt he would have posted in this thread if he was speaking generally. I'm excited, even though like many, have not seen much of the boy, and his YouTube highlights vid isn't that great.
I think he meant not long until we see more transfer activity, not ceballos

I assumed he was just responding to the poster and happened to be in this thread

Be careful. He was replying to a post saying it had gone quiet on the transfer front and he said not for long.
Today we are selling tripier to atletico.

That's the beauty, you can infer what you like, I'm assuming Cebellos.:)

If Arsenal are keen to take him on a straight loan with no option to buy then fair play on 'beating us to it'. If he rips it up he'll be back at Madrid or at a bigger club come next season. Unless he can play CB or full back he's hardly addressing their weaknesses either!

Levy is right to insist on a buy option IMO.

I can't hear the screens at work, but looked like the presenter said "with an option to buy" using my lip-reading skills.

I can’t be fucked to get in a state about this. If they get him on a season loan they’re simply fattening the pig for Real, something Levy will never go with for good reasons

I'm sure I'm missing someone obvious, but has a Spanish player ever left Madrid or Barca and been a success in the Prem, on loan or otherwise?

Pedro is probably as close as it gets but generally the successful Spanish players who’ve come over have seen the move as a step up, e.g. Torres, Silva, etc.

Though VdV is of Spanish descent... ;)

Based on what I've read, it seems like we only want to do this deal if it includes an option to buy - which RM dont wanna do.

Gooners appear happy to just do a loan so it's fair to assume he could end up there now.
