If, as has been suggested, Eriksen is close to signing a new deal, it's just as well we didn't land Ceballos because we wouldn't then have a space for LoCelso (who I prefer). I think Eriksen and Ceballos were linked the whole time personally, precisely because of this scenario.

Seems to be right. Always felt like we were trying to get Ceballos out of any deal for Eriksen but Madrid don't seem to have been too keen.

If they were more interested in loaning Ceballos out just so they can bring him back later then it feels like they don't really want Eriksen.

As I've posted in the Eriksen thread, I think Madrid were keen to include Ceballos in the Eriksen deal to keep the fee down and balance the books. Ceballos had other ideas putting the whole thing in Jeopardy. I know which player I'd prefer to see in our shirt next season!

This window has brought every fucking virgin out of the woodwork.

Do yourself a favour some of you, take your pocket money and put it to good use.

Edit: never mind still I got my figures round the wrong way ... Who gives a fuck, take your pocket money out anyway and treat yourselves to a beer.

Second edit: That picture he uses in his profile is Rob fucking Dorsett ....

The amount of times people believe and post stuff from such obvious bullshit merchants is honestly astounding.

I can see why A&C has at least 2 aneurysms per week this time of year.

Different is posting shit sources like Sun than posting fake sources tbh

I think we are a bigger club now than last season and even on a season loan he would have come in handy amongst the injuries we had, however going forward....

I don't see the issue with loans if they help bring you success. Sometimes you can regret getting tied into a commitment to buy. Agreeing a price would have been enough in my view then deciding at the end if the season would be the sensible thing to do.

But that was literally the problem. There wasn't the opportunity with Ceballos to agree an option.

Probably agree with this, given the right circumstances.

Tielmans and Andre Gomes are two players that come to mind.

If Ceballos is coming to us to prove a point, then you'd think he'd be ultra motivated to succeed.

Of course the downside would be that he'd want to play lots of games for that exact reason; this might not be possible, since we've already got a well stocked squad. This in turn could lead to dissatisfaction and you don't want unhappy players kicking around the training ground.

So overall, it's a tricky one and you can see why Poch (and Levy) don't seem to be too enthusiastic.

Sorry no loan players from the likes of RM. We want players to commit to the next few years at the club not use us just to further their careers
