Daniel Levy has indicated that there is still "lots more to come" at Tottenham in the not too distant future. Following the demolition of their White Hart Lane home in 2017 to make way for the state-of-the-art Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the club are helping to regenerate the area in N17.

"There's definitely lots more to come, some of which I cannot talk about, but what is in the public domain is we have planning permission for a hotel that we definitely intend to build over the coming years, a number of residential homes and I think you will see a lot of other things that will come out over the next 12-14 months."

Levy realised his dream of moving the club into a stadium that can help them grow and develop...
"I was involved in absolutely everything," he outlined. "This was my home, I was building a home.

This guy is going no-where imo, whatever the incentive. It has become very personal for him. It is his home.
Enic would have to go bust and he'd have to be carried out, kicking and screaming.
His dream is be to here until he's 95. Then some more.

Levy is like Rishi Sunak. This is like the last days of the Conservative Party.

I read the first few lines and thought to myself ‘I bet he plans to build a fucking hotel or something’.

Once again, the football comes second to all the other nonsense. We may as well all support an investment bank ffs.

it’s never about the football. Never.

There is going to be mutiny if a cheese room doesn't form some part of his five year plan.

The other non-sense is what will support the investment in the football side. We’re increasing revenue to invest in the team. If you only want non sustainable short term then you’d invest in the team now with no guarantees. If you want to build and increase you need patience and to be smart with investing.

For me, Levy’s a business man, not a football man, how long does a hotel need to be in operation for it to make enough money to effect transfers at our level?

North Tottenham is in desperate need of investment. The club is doing good work in the area and shouldn't be disregarded. They are doing more than anyone else for Tottenham and more than any other club for the community, which is among the most deprived in the country.

In short generating more income to spend on better players?

There's two ways to look at everything, positively or negatively?
I'm not sure a hotel and housing will generate money to be spent on the squad.
It's good that they're investing in the area because it needs it, it's a shithole but let's not pretend that's going towards new players.

There may be other things in the pipeline that will, the things that aren't yet public, so that's where positivity lies for me.

I’m sure we all agree with that - but Tottenham supporters are desperate for Glory! All the **** does is plaster it all around the ground

Why don’t ENIC sell up the football club and concentrate on the development of Tottenham…..

I think we overlook certain things as our focus is on football. By expanding "Tottenham Hotspur PLC" with properties etc, we not only have an opportunity to gain from any profit or income they generate, but also the size of the organisation that our club is a part of.

The football side of running a football club is now just one department of many and for the club to be able to succeed it needs to be a big presence on and off the pitch. Being part of the catering and hospitality side of things probably gives ENIC access to waaay more shoulders to rub up against than most other sectors, and it does rather compliment the football side of things, potentially able to offer premium match day'hotel stay packages etc.

I dunno, this sort of thing goes over my head, but we have to consider the bigger picture with this sort of project, and be confident that Levy won't jeopardise the club spunking cash on frivolous things, he's really, really not that sort of chap and we all know it.

I hope the support for the local area amounts to more than a hotel and expensive housing. Even so-called 'affordable' properties these days will be way out of the budget of working-class people in that area of the country. One thing Levy could do to help the community is not charge the league's most expensive season tickets, but nope, a fancy hotel is what gets him excited.

I don't want to turn it into a political debate but, right now, the way the government run things, if I was a businessman with millions to invest then I would be skeptical too. They've shown they have no grasp on the value of anything, plunging the country into a financial sink hole and stubbornly refuse to listen to reason on any front - if the club were to pour a few mil into the area further than something that benefits the club then they rightly should expect that to be part of a wider, government backed scheme but... would you trust Sunak's government to invest any amount wisely?

Go back over the last few years, they free up millions for the COVID situation and then throw it all at their friends so it can vanish into thin air, they spend as much fighting public sector workers as it would cost to just pay them the wage they deserve, they literally have no concept of the value of anything or the damage poor financial decisions are costing the country so, no, I totally understand why Levy, or anyone, would be cautious of getting on board with any scheme they have a hand in.
