Just noticed at the bottom of an article on the Hudd that Rose is back at the club. Do you think he might be given some minutes while we are missing some pace to the team?
Could he be an unknown quantity much like Lennon when he appeared terrorising teams until they figure him out and he had to improve his game?
I think you can carry one 'inexperienced' player in a strong team..

Depends how he got on, on loan. If he impressed then there is a chance. You can't just throw a player into the team because he is young and/or fast they have to earn the chance to play in the first team.

I didn't mean starting, I think throwing a player in can work if he is an unknown dangerous quantity (like Lennon) that can cause problems.
Whether he is that good to cause problems, i'm not sure as i've not seen much of him but his England performances alone make me want to see if he could..

Maybe Gus didn't rate him and has sent him back, or maybe Luka is out for longer than expected?

The fact that we recalled him and it wasn't the end of the deal does look like we have plans for him.

Would be good to see on the bench if Lennon is still out.
I remeber someone saying Lennon and Gomes went for scans the other day.... hope its not bad news on Lennon that we have recalled Rose

The early recall made me think we might have some kind of plan with him.

Think he was recalled as he wasn't getting into their team so I'd be surprised if he made it anywhere near ours. I expect him to be off on another loan soon.

Ah fair enough, though must have been tough in a cannon-fodder team where they prob stuck the hard-nuts in first..

I guess i'm just scared when Harry tries formations that seem crazy to me and doomed before we start that i'm desperate for him to go back to the one that works regardless of who is in it..

He knows his stuff though and can't get it perfect every time..

Probably just due to Ferguson's sacking.

Yeah, could be that he was brought in by Ferguson, and whoever's going to replace him, or whoever's in charge at the moment doesn't want/need him...

It's because he's the new Messi and we're waiting to unleash him on an unsuspecting world.

I know it's very early days but he's looked pretty average on the games that I've seen....no sign of the raw talent that Lennon showed.

Suspect that the best we can hope for is a successfull loan spell which will inflate his eventual sale price to a lower league club.

seen him a few times and he looks a bit lacking of a trick and a good cross....I don't think he going to make it sadly. Really hope I'm wrong but I saw him in pre-season a few times and he didn't look very good

Agreed. At least having him on the bench might allow us to have a look at him again.

I went up to the Doncaster v Peterborough match a couple of weeks ago and he was pretty poor and got subbed at half time. Played more centrally and I think he got booked after a couple of rash challenges.

Not impressed.

But then again I thought Guy Butters would go on to captain England one day

Have to agree with a few of the comments here, I like to think that i'm quite a good judge of a player and after watching Rosa a few times in U19 tournaments for England on Eurosport and in U21 games on Sky Sport and I've yet to see anything remotely promising from Rose and I've been really disappointed as I thought he was going to be our answer to Lennon on the left.

I don't know if that bad injury he had before has slowed down his progress or dented his confidence but so far he has failed to show me anything to suggest he's going to make it at EPL level. The only thing that gives me hope is that he is continually getting picked for the U21 so he must be showing some signs of promise in training at least.

I've only seen him briefly but he didn't strike me as an outstanding prospect. Getting picked for the U21s means little. Most of the players that feature don't progress to have long lasting top level careers.

I've only seen a few glimpses of him but have seen nothing yet to really excite me, all I've really seen him do is commit loads of fouls so far. Unfair of me though to make big statements about him only having seen him the odd time.

The one player in our youth system we should be excited about, more than excited about in fact is Ryan Mason - we must do everything in our powers to nurture him and make sure he is a success. There's a star in their I'm sure, I just hope we see it one day.
