Makes me chuckle how he always seems to get the sh*t kicked out of him, but just carries on regardless. Thought he was great yesterday, loved that block from sterling in the first half.

Rose is more attacking than Davies, Davies is positionally very good. Rose was very good yesterday, if I had one criticism it would be he should be more clinical. Imagine Rose and Trippier, the amount of attacking from the wings would be crazy.

I absolutely love his feisty attitude and he was good defensively yesterday but similarly to Walker I do think he is clueless going forward.
In the last 2 seasons, he has the most assists (and goals for that matter) out of all of our full backs and is leading the way this season.

In fact, last season the only FBs that had more assists than Rose, were Baines, Janmaat & Ivanovic and only Baines had a better assist per min ave. The season before that, the only FBs that had more assists than Rose, were Kolorov, Zabeleta an Evra and Rose has a better assist per game ave than Evra.

This season, Charlie Daniels (originally from our academy) is the only FB with more assists than Rose and Rose has a better assist per min ratio.

Not sure what your basing your facts on ?

This season, assists per 90 minutes, Walker 0.05, Rose 0.14, Davies 0.16, Trippier 0.24.

Key passes per 90: Rose 0.65, Walker 0.73, Davies 0.93, Trippier 0.97

Chances created per 90: Walker 0.78, Rose 0.79, Davies 1.07, Trippier 1.22

Tripper and Davies are clearly the most productive per time on the pitch.

Source = transfermarkt.

Never mentioned per 90 among our fbs just he has the most assists.

Rose 3.
Davies 2.
Walker 1.
Trippier 1.

It doesn't matter who your source is, it's disingenuous just chucking totals out when Rose and Walker have played much more than Davies and Trippier isn't it.

Both Davies and Trippier are more productive per time on the pitch this season, despite being much less experienced. Trippier has the same assists in 370 minutes as Walker has in 1970 minutes.

Rose has only played 168 mins more than Davies, so not a lot more. According to Transfermarkt, Rose is more productive than Davies per 90.

Rose, played 1252 mins & has 3 assists (417 mins per assist).
Davies, played 1088 mins & has 2 assists (544 mins per assist).

Trippier you may have a point with and I look forward to seeing him more, but stats are always a bit skewed when a player hasn't played much but has 1 assist, for example if you took Roses first 368 mins of the season (Trippiers total), he also would have 1 assist so would look the same per 90.

Swapping Walker & Rose for Trippier & Davies equates to swapping Athleticism for Quality.

I was highly critical of Davies last season, but he's been excellent this season.

I still think Walker is a clown - if he played on instinct rather than second guessing himself, he'd be a worldy.

That's still nearly two whole games. And the per 90 min stats I gave showing Davies and Trippier are more productive are Opta via Squawka.

I'm not saying there is a massive chasm in quality between Rose and Davies, I don't think there is, but clearly Rose isn't any more productive, especially when you include all the stats like chances created and key passes.

Trippier, however, pisses all over Walker creatively and you don't even need the stats to tell us that.

Won three penalties since January: another dodgy hand ball against Leicester and chopped down against Sunderland.
Does a very good penaltt appeal. Don't know if he ever played cricket!

He's a Yorkshireman so I imagine he did!

it should, but it won't. hodgson will still pick baines, gibbs and bertrand ahead of danny, no matter how they play(if they even play).

If Woy had never even picked Rose for a squad I might agree. But it's not like he's being completely ignored and he is a step above what he was going into last season

EDIT: Baines has been injured most of the summer and is now out again until Mid-nov. And he turns 31 in Dec by the way. Gibbs hasn't started an EPL game yet this season after a huge drop in confidence. That has to affect his chances sooner or later

Well done Danny Boy. Knew you would crack it if you kept trying

Roy is going to have a headache after that outstanding Rose performance.

I think Rose is a shoe-in not just go to the Euro's but to start the first game - he was superb tonight, can't see Bertrand topping that. He's got a great mentality as well, plus he's a year younger. I can't believe Bertrand is 26, what a wasted career he's had going on endless loans at Chelsea before moving to Southampton. By contrast, this is Rose's fourth season as a starter in the Premier League.
