Agreed 'Mullers'LOL so because we sold Naughton for 5 million, we think we can buy Ings with that cash, dream on.
In fact, excuse me being cynical here, I think this 'bid' for Ings by Spurs is only to show their fans they did 'try' to get a new striker in.Agreed 'Mullers'
LOL with a 5 million pound bid? Even the BSoDL wouldn't be convinced by it.In fact, excuse me being cynical here, I think this 'bid' for Ings by Spurs is only to show their fans they did 'try' to get a new striker in.
If we don't even attempt to sign him and Sodado and Adebayor consistently fail to chip in with a fair share of goals to compliment Kane's tally during the remainder of the season and we end up getting nowhere in the cups, and we finish outside the top six in the table then as far as I'm concerned, Levy and the board will rightly deserve inevitable criticism that will come their way.
Whilst his contract is running down I'm not convinced that we could even get him for say £5-7M but to me the biggest crime would be if we don't even try. I'm not saying he is definitely the answer or that he will continue to score for us in the same way he has done for Burnley or even at the same rate but IMHO he is worth a gamble at that price even if they end up refusing the offer(s).
Soldado and Adebayor provoke considerable debate, particularly on this site but the indisputable basic facts are that they are not doing what they were bought for I.e to score goals and they don't even look as though they will change that status quo any time soon, Soldado may be providing the odd assist here and there but he wasn't purchased for £26M just to do that. Adebayor might up his game as contract renewal time ticks near but at this moment in time that looks unlikely.
As far as I'm concerned doing nothing at all and hoping that they both suddenly click into gear will be the biggest failure and omission worthy of blame that will top the lot.
