I agree with some of what he says around authorities and how race issues are dealt with but in all honesty if it's that bad just hang the boots up and go. Especially given his mental health issues I'm sure he has made enough to live a comfortable life.
Good for you lol. My feeling is don't do something purely to get paid for.5 it 6 years left as it was put if you are not enjoying your job. I would tell the same to someone in any walk of life.If its that bad the authorities should be made aware of how its effecting players so they can do something about it, 'just hang the boots up and go...' gets a dislike from me.

No I don't. If that is how it is coming across then that is writing text for you instead of having a chat.So let the racist win then?
Come on mate, surely you can't mean that!

I do believe that people shouldn't sit and stay in environments that make themselves unhappy to the extent it reads in the article. Like I said he has recently had what was it depression? That is not a good combination. I added a bit to my reply to mr angry also which maybe provides a tiny bit of context. If I assume he is only talking about racism and authorities dealing with in terms of eastern Europe (or maybe the city/Chelsea couple of incidents) then that is a small part of his career I would of hoped he could balance that against what is happening in 99% of his career and maybe not be so unhappy with his lot in life that he cant wait to see the back of it.
Ok mate, I think I see where you are coming from, but I would challenge you by saying, his recent issues with depression, shouldn't be referenced at all, this is not relevant to his point of wanting out. A black player with no history of depression could site the same feelings.
Also, Rose is not making himself unhappy, he is unhappy with the environment that purely toxic, all because of his race. So to suggest he shouldn't sit and stay, maybe the wrong choice of words.
You are right, text may not be the best place to wok through the nuances of this issue.
But the main point is this, it's the racist we want out of football, not players who suffer at the hand of racist.
On this point, I'm hopeful we can agree.

No I wouldn't.So if I am being racially abused (illegal) which affects my enjoyment of the job, the first thing you would do is tell me to quit?

This is the point in it all. The hypocrisy and tokenism of a financial penalty is just that.Danny has every right to say what he feels. There is loads of hypocrisy in football and certainly within our FA. They rightly criticise Montenegro yet persistently ignore the enduring racism at clubs like Chelsea and West Ham.
