The more I think about this the more idiotic it makes Danny sound. "Not players you have to Google". Christs sake man.

Its times like this you realise how dim a lot of players actually are, not to think it, but to think its appropriate to come out with in an interview with one of the county's biggest newspapers.

How sincere is the apology? The fact is that Rose and everybody else at the club would have been better off if he hadn't made the comments, at least publicly. Certain things that happen or are said inside an organisation should stay there.

Sincere or not. It was made and seemed decent enough. Time for everyone to move on now. We have the first match on Sunday that the coaches and the teams need to focus on. Rose needs to focus on his fitness. If he works his way back into squad, great. Like it or not, we need him. He's simply a better player than Davies. We should cheer him on if he plays for us again. If he isnt able to get back into the good graces of Poch, then so be it. I for one am over this already. I've said my feelings on all of this and I am ready, if not eager, to move on, get on with the season and get on with actual transfer discussions, like the signing of a right back to replace Walker.

To be fair he's only like about 80-90% of football fans who think a big name signing equates to guaranteed success whereas if a player isn't recognised then it won't improve your team. I've had plenty of football conversations where some one scoffs at a low-key signing only for them to actually be a pretty key player.

Kante, Alli and Dier are prime example of why players and football fans alike should just wait to see. And seen as two of them are at our club and joined when Rose probably had never heard of them, shows how stupid he is - as you say.

He is, and I get that. I guess my point is that he isn't a fan, he's on the inside. That's a different rule set. Saying something like that makes you an outsider to the inner circle. And tbh comeplety at odds with Poch's meritocratic system where it's not about names, it's about application. I thought Rose, of all people (having been called shit) would get it.

Someone once invented something that purports to do that job...however, I think it may have been thrown together in a bit of a rush using whatever the inventor had lying around at the time, because when I tried to use it to learn more about this Danny Google fella, what it actually returned was a picture of a man covered in wheat entitled "Grainy Dougal."

• other clubs wouldn't be impressed by the way he's gone about it
• in his first couple of years was 4th or 5th choice left back and that changed when Poch came
• asking to leave is fine but the way you do it is important and carries on through life as he will be remembered for these things

• many didn't know Berbatov for instance
• disrespectful to many players in that dressing room
• every player wants medals and more money but you don't say that publicly.
