You can't even take pleasure in the transfer fee his sale would bring in. His value has just been torpedoed, and even if it hadn't, it's not like Levy would be able to spend it anyway.

He can definitely fuck off but next summer, let him play in the u23s until next season for being a twat.
Why? Because he's speaking the truth? The club has a shown a staggering lack of ambition. Has signed no one. Sold the best player in the league at his position to a rival for the title and for saying publicly what we have known for a while that we do not pay our players market rate? Good on him for speaking up about it. I wouldnt be surprised if most, if not all, of our players feel similarly. I dont begrudge him at all. He's saying what many are thinking. Look past the timing of this. He said the same thing earlier in the summer too. It clearly fell on deaf ears.

Bad timing but he isn't wrong in the slightest.

I think we need to see the full quotes. They've got "I will play in the north" as a headline but it might not be the whole sentence. He might have said before I retire or something. I don't trust the papers at all.

If it's true, and he really wants to play in the North so bad, I'm sure there's a spot on Pyongyang City Sports Club waiting for him.

Maybe if he wasn't injured last season Spurs might have won a trophy! F****** Sunderland.

You make a very, very good point actually.

Regardless of all this ill-timed media 'exclusive' nonsense, his appearance stats for us aren't that spectacular really.

Last season, our best league position since the 1960s, he played just 18 out of a possible 38 Premier Lge matches - the season before it was still only 24, and even in his best season (2014/15) he still missed 10 Lge games.

If you compare him with, say, Jan Vertonghan (90 appearances in the past 3 seasons), Rose has played just 70 league games in the same period.

I'm not suggesting for a minute that it wouldn't be a blow to the squad if he departed - he is class when he plays, but looking at his stats (and perhaps his propensity for getting regular injuries) maybe it wouldn't be the end of the world if the 'worst' happened.

As ever it would all boil down to who might replace him and that, of course, is the key.

This wouldn't surprise me. He already gave that interview encouraging the club to make a big signing. He's an ambitious guy clearly, he's just seen his mate leave and double or treble his wages, and we've done nothing to indicate our own ambitions.

If we don't win something this season he'll be gone.

I don't blame any player who wants to leave to win things to be honest - we might constantly be "on the verge" but the fact is we haven't won anything for a decade and have no recent history of winning things, and the next two seasons are likely to be very difficult with the stadium moves.

Frankly if Pep buys your mate and trebles his wages you'd be jumping at the chance to go to City. Mega money, very probably bucketloads of trophies, why not? I expect Rose was pretty gutted he was injured this summer.

I really hope this doesn't unsettle the team for Sunday.

Will be a fun day at the training ground for Danny tomorrow.

Never said it was good. But not as bad as people are making out.

It's pretty bad. Obviously sensationalised and made to look worse by that rag, but it won't go down well with Poch.

And I don't think it will go down well thefans either, despite containing a lot of truth.

Any chance him and Poch have fallen out? He could have been dead against the sale of Walker and seen that as a big statement itself. Could have been avoided had we brought in a quality replacement immediately.

Interestingly the journo on Talksport was quick to shoot down any suggestions that this was a 'transfer request/come and get me' type deal. Seems this is a challenge to the club as much as anything.

Certainly bad quotes however and it'll be crisis management at spurs PR tomorrow...
