So, this is a move to engineer a transfer out of the club.

Do we sell?

Rose has just taken advantage of the shambolic transfer window the club had. Nice reason to hide behind - would get the general non-Spurs support that we are a club with zero ambition. Had we done the business earlier, I dare say this interview wouldn't have happened. Even if he had problems, would have been handled internally.

Unfortunately, there is no easy solution for this mess.

If he thought the fans gave him stick then, he's in for a shock when he next plays at Wembley.

Hope that some good comes out of this. Hopefully levy can have a meeting with the manager and players and let them all air their greivances. He did it when poch first arrived, yes it led to the loss of a few players but we emerged stronger.
If levy could then act on those greivances, get a few quality players in maybe a bump in wages for those who deserve it we could then move on.

That is my only hope from this shambles.

He doesn't slag off his teammates really. He says they need more strength in depth and people you have heard of i.e. Barclay not stambouli. And he did get shit off of the fans not necessarily through anything that he did but because he wasn't a left back and suddenly was playing left back cos as we all saw it the club didn't buy a left back. Much like we said Dembele from Fulham wasn't good enough to replace Modric and How we went batshit at the idea of playing Dier as a DM cos we didn't get Schneiderlin
He said the squad under Harry was better than the squad is now. That's a slap in the face to all of the squad players, Son and Lamela are a damn sight better than the likes of Pienaar, dos Santos, Bentley, Saha, I'd even say Krancjar as well. Winks will surpass anything Huddlestone ever accomplished. Wimmer and Dier are every bit as good as a washed up Gallas and Ryan Nelsen. Ben Davies is a better second choice LB than, well, the 2011 version of Danny Rose (who can forget Aston Villa).

It's absolute garbage, and insulting to boot.
Think he said we had 2 PL players for every position under Harry and new pretty much did. In the intervening years things have moved again and clubs looked city and Chelsea squads are stronger still. Yes maybe it or a dig nkoudou and njie but not at lamela and son

All I can say is that I'm really disappointed he's gone about it like this. Expected better.

Absolutely not, that would basically send a signal to every shitty agent to get their players to agitate like this when they want a move. As the Walker transfer clearly has for Rose.

I'm sure Poch won't want a malcontent in the squad though.

Think he has to go for many reasons but mainly because he cannot be allowed to be in and around the team anymore or his rhetoric will spread like a poison.
He clearly doesn't believe in our project or his teammates and is after one last big pay day.

Reads lke a million and one fan posts on this forum and elsewhere. Not sure what the fuss is about.

We all know we have a low wage cap so wages are low in comparison to the going rate.
We all know that we don't have back up if All/Kane/Eriksen et al get injured.
We all know that were we to sign someone you need to google to figure out who they are then half the board here will instantly condemn them as not good enough and the other half will slaughter Levy for not signing a known player
And we also all know that Rose got massive amounts of shit both online and in the ground for at least two years so why the fuck should he forget that.

Incidentally I still don't particularly rate him and wouldn't mind if Davies was our first choice.

The point I'm making is that the squad players we have now are better than the squad players we had then, and we haven't even done our business for this summer yet. When did Harry ever turn to the squad? He ran the same XI into the ground, it was a big part of our collapse in that last season. I completely agree with Rose that we need some incomings to freshen things up, Poch has said as much as well, but the way he's gone about conveying that sentiment is factually untrue and a slap in the face to his teammates. It's bullshit.

Really? They are the best 2 fullbacks in the league. Let's not pretend they wont be a massive loss for us :/
But neither can cross or shoot for toffee. Rose for me is as frustrating as walker. They both dominate the games with how much they get the ball and get involved but neither of them have any end product.
Neg all you like, I have my opinions. I never rated Davies until rose got injured. He came good after he stopped looking so nervous. Think he played a bigger part in getting 2nd than Rose did.

We only stand to lose from this either way. We can't lose the best left back in the league, having sold the best right back already. The money is immaterial; unless we're buying Alaba or Marcelo, we'd be purchasing a downgrade.

On the other hand, do we keep a player who has publicly undermined pretty much everyone, from fans to chairman to manager, while also potentially damaging Poch's reputation of being ruthless when it comes to instances such as this.

This is a fucking terrible position Rose has put us in. I agree with most of what he's said regarding our transfers this summer and our wage structure, but the timing could not have been worse.

He wants the move and he's doing everything he can to engineer it; he's doing a bloody good job of it, too.

“As with everyone else in my team, in my opinion, I am worth more than I am getting."

That's an absolutely devastating quote, and really quite sad to read.

It puts our success over the past two years into perspective, and makes you realise that it is literally unsustainable under the current wage budget.

Don't wanna be hearing that in the SUN though, mate. Fucking disgusting of him to do that. Shit ont he whole club to force a move, 2 days before the season starts.

Whadda xxxx.

Where has this figure of £30k a week for his current wages come from?

Surely that can't be true?

To question the ambition of the club while they are building what will be the second biggest ground in the league and probably one of the best stadiums in the world and also investing heavily in state of the art training facilities, is crazy. Yeah we all want new signings but these players have to realize we're not a UTD or City, we won't be spending 150-200m each summer.
