Reads lke a million and one fan posts on this forum and elsewhere. Not sure what the fuss is about.

We all know we have a low wage cap so wages are low in comparison to the going rate.
We all know that we don't have back up if All/Kane/Eriksen et al get injured.
We all know that were we to sign someone you need to google to figure out who they are then half the board here will instantly condemn them as not good enough and the other half will slaughter Levy for not signing a known player
And we also all know that Rose got massive amounts of shit both online and in the ground for at least two years so why the fuck should he forget that.

Incidentally I still don't particularly rate him and wouldn't mind if Davies was our first choice.
Those players aren't our teammates, the chairman isn't our boss, the manager isn't our father figure, we aren't paid by the club, we aren't in the dressing room ruining morale. The difference is clear as can be.

Mate, he's not a fan, he's a professional player.

This is like a chef giving his own restaurant a shit review on TripAdviser.

I didn't say he was a fan, just said it read like one. Nothing he said isn't true. You can argue about why he's said it at this point and there's probably two choices on that. One, he's wants to leave and two he genuinely believes it and wants to kick Levy up the arse.

Not disrespectful? Not insensitive toward the club, the fans, his team mates? Don't know... he's fallen very low in my eyes complaining in the press he's not paid what he's worth. The timing, the source

Really unfortunate he's gone about it like this at this juncture but you cant fault the honesty. Hes pissed off the fans as they now perceive a go at them so its now toxic. But again, he's only being honest and truthful. Give all the neg reps you want but the fans, probably myself included i cant remember that far back and dont have the time on my hands(aka this is a job for you @THFCSPURS19 ) reacted like absolute fucking twats when he originally signed that new contract when Pochettino arrived. We all threw an absolute fit. We reap what we sow. It just sucks that he became so loved afterwards but he clearly still hurts from our horrible treatment before.

Make no mistake though, this is about more than money and the fans treatment. The club's lack of ambition sucks to see and the lack of signings at this point is an absolute disgrace

To question the ambition of the club while they are building what will be the second biggest ground in the league and probably one of the best stadiums in the world and also investing heavily in state of the art training facilities, is crazy. Yeah we all want new signings but these players have to realize we're not a UTD or City, we won't be spending 150-200m each summer.

You know despite everything, I agree with Rose said. he spoke from the heart, he spoke about the club's interests and his own. He is clearly affected by the way things are going because he's ambitious. I don't think it was the shocking revelations the Sun tried to style it as. A great interview though.

Rose said what we've all said on here. We can't criticise him. I take back what i said earlier. DANNy, DANNY ROSE!

Nobody, the club or the fans, should focus only on making Rose the villain in this. There are clearly problems at the club. Walker probably expressed the same views in private (as Rose should have) and was probably sold because of it. Our older players are going to be less patient (proabably why Toby hasn't signed) and eventually this may influence the younger ones. This could easily become the tip of the iceberg that could unltimately end up with MP deciding he cannot achieve his goals.

This may be a while off, but if these issues aren't acknowledge and managed it could well be reality. We have already seen the senior recruitment team leave out of frustration. If players are unhappy the coaching team could well follow.

As I've responded already, it's exactly what he was. Makes him even thicker and more of a prick.

I don't really understand this line of attack. He's not really saying we shouldn't at all sign players that are young and/or unknown. What I mean to say is, if we were signing some high quality more known players, then he would have no issue with signings that he has to 'google' in addition to them. What's really grinding his gears is not the presence of these smaller signings, it's the lack of presence of bigger ones that immediately strengthen the matchday squad/starting XI.

He has unfortunately chosen an awful way of putting that, however.

Main problem is that he's indirectly slagged off a lot of his teammates, which I can't see going down too well.

Maybe thick and a prick is harsh...but it certainly isn't clever and saintly.

Needs to go, don't want him too, love him, but he clearly has his mind elsewhere and is willing to destroy the harmony at Spurs to get it.

Sad, but seeing the quotes and realising he wants to destabilise the whole club in a trashy interview with the Sun means there is likely no way back.

So, this is a move to engineer a transfer out of the club.

Do we sell?

No. If my workplace punished poor behaviour by shipping me out to a higher profile employer for 3x the money with less barriers to success I'd have shat on my boss' desk and stolen his car by now...

Time to draw a line in the sand now. We set a dangerous precedent otherwise.

My point is you said you don't get the fuss. That's why there's fuss, you don't fucking do this whether you think it or not,

Why ? You think the club aren't aware of what message boards say ? They know that there's a large proportion of the fanbase that thinks pretty much exactly what he said. I've got no problem with him saying it in public You think the other players don't think the same ? Bit of honesty doesn't hurt anyone.

Agreed but they probably look at the shitty teams mid table spending for fun and us not buying a singke player. That is what they see

And 27-year-old Rose said: “I think it is worrying how we performed at Wembley.

“I am not sure why — even at the training ground we have made one pitch exactly the same size as Wembley.

“We can’t blame the atmosphere either — at one of those Champions League games the atmosphere was brilliant.

“But if we had played the Champions League at White Hart Lane, it’d have been a different story.

“I can’t even put my finger on why.

“We have to change that or it is going to be a long, miserable and difficult season.

“It will be a transitional period but we can’t use that as an excuse — we want to win the league at Wembley.”

Good lord, this kid has done gone lost his fucking mind.

Wtf is going on here??

I have no problem with him criticising a lack of spending etc and calling for ambition as he did in May. I'd probably be singing his praises if that's all he did. But it isn't, he said a LOT more.
