I can't believe people are suggesting we sell him. Regardless of how you feel about his comments he is still one of the best left backs in the country. Selling him means adding a top class left back to our competition. Lets face it he isn't going to go abroad. Keep him and make him fight for his place. It's a pre World Cup season so he will have to work hard to get back in the side. I'd rather he plays for the U23s than a rival.

I really like(d) Rose even started to become of my favourite players in the last two years but he destroyed that now.
Wouldn't mind selling him to United for big money to push other deals through + Shaw.
Don't disagree, but I have little faith in us pushing through the right deals. I don't like the way Levy does business.

After what he's said, I'd be fine with us selling Rose for £60m and throwing £20m or whatever for Sessegnon.

Shaw is on £130k pw hence the problem so why would he join us for £70k ow

I have now seen 100k,130k and now 150k just in the last few pages of this thread. Fact is though no one on here knows how much he's on, they are just quoting what the have read. Problem with that is its written by people who don't know either.

Let him go North, suggest a season loan to Huddersfield and as a pay rise give him unlimited broadband so he can google his new team mates names.

Me personally I wouldn't. It's easy to spout off here and say all the words, but booing at a game, those other 10 players don't deserve to hear those boo's.

Personal choice of course.

I wouldn't either, but there's plenty who will.

This Rose situation really makes me nostalgic for the old days in football.

Imagine what would have happened under Fergie or Clough. Clough would probably have dragged him in his office and chinned him. Then told him he was shit every day in training for the next month.

What Rose has done seems worse to me. Plus far more casuals at Wembley mean it's far more likely he'll get booed imo.

Ye, Modric only went to press and told us how much he wanted to go to Chelsea. Then the year after, he didn't show up to train, so he could force a move to Real Madrid. Classy guy.

"Chelsea are a great club, they play in the Champions League every year, they have great players, they are ambitious and have an ambitious owner who wants to invest in the club and make it win the Champions League, the Premier League and other titles."

That quote is disrespectful against Tottenhams fans, the players we had back then and Levy. So imo, Modric was much worse. The only thing that was worse with Rose interview was the timing of it.

They are paying maybe three or four players these sort of wages, while the rest of their squad is on relatively low wages...ours is a much more level paying structure across the squad.
Its why our overall wage bill is much higher than the clubs you've mentioned.

There was a pay scale chart published yesterday, either on here or Twitter, from a reliable source. It showed about 4 or 5 of our first team at most around the £100k per week mark, and many more down around £30k. Not anywhere near as level as you are making out.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not disputing what you are saying, the point I'm trying to put across here is that clubs with FAR lower income than us are paying some players substantially more, and this is where the problem arises, let alone the stupid wages being paid by the oil clubs.

Problem with that is o was told Sessegnon was not seen as ready, and if we bought him it would be with the future in mind. We'd effectively just be buying a left sided KWP who also isn't seen as ready.

Don't remember that to be honest, remember him saying he wasn't in the team at the start of the season as his head wasn't right.
Harry said before the window shut that you cant keep players once they say they want to go
then when window shut and modric was still here, he said you cant afford to let players like Modric go

i liked arry and he did a good job for us, but he did contradict himself a lot

Modric asked for a move without saying a word against Spurs. Rose has criticised his own fans, teammates and chairman.

First post for a long time so be gentle.
Rose has let everyone down but I think there's a way back for him. When on form he's the best LB in England by far.
Punish him (as they have). Don't sell him, whatever the pressure Man U exert.
Get him fit then get him on the bench. Hopefully he see's new players coming in and gets his head down and works hard.
Give him a loyalty bonus to stay until next summer based on appearances. Next summer - new deal for him or sell him on.
Win win for everyone surely?

He's no Ben Davies :cautious:
