With reports published today of Keane moving onto Liverpool for £20 million, I suddenly started to get excited about maybe a Darren Bent/Berbatov line up.

Of course as a Spurs fan I love Keano but surely him and Berbatov are just too similar. They both drop off and look to make things happen. With Bent you have a class goal poacher who will score goals when playing every week and good creative players are around him. Also Bent got 18 league goals in his debut season with Charlton, do you think Keane would have got that maybe with the players that surrounded Diable DB then.

You may think but wait what if Berbatov goes and Keane stays (which I think is unlikely even against the media coverage) then Bent/ Keane up front and Keane can drop off while Bent is on the defenders' shoulders.

I am just saying at 66-1 with bookies I am going to put a cheeky £10 each way on him and see how he does.

Have you watched any Spurs the last year or so? I think a partnership of 46 goals is pretty good for players that are too similar to play together.

Plus, Bent hasn't really been all that effective with either Berbs or Keane, although I think that has more to do with the fact that he's not used to playing in a 2 up front system.

to play devils advocate (such a good film)

if and theres a massive if here, if spurs go for the 4-3-2-1 formation then bent could be the perfect man for the lone striker (especially if berbs leaves) he scored a shed load in that position for a weak charlton side

Aye, but the winnings are £660.

Not if you've already given up your £10 to gambling, you've won it back. And of course it all depends on Bent topping the scoring charts. What's 66 x 0?

You know what, I hope Bent stays. he could do some damage next year.

My positive outlook/prediction is that he will be englands centre forward come end of the season too.

Have seen nothing in Ramos's attitude towards Bent to suggest he has any intention of including him in his plans.
