But do we want the whole world watching on Sunday? Knowing our history against this shits ManUre. Im really not looking forward to it...
Why? And play him at whose expense? Its not all about Beckham. You make it sounds as if he is bigger than THFC when he is not. IMO we could really do without this circus and concentrate on doing things our way which we have done quite well so far without him.I know some of the purists will disagree or cry commercialism but in the interests of the club long-term we should get him on board and give him some minutes on Sunday
Apparently money is not the issue (there's no loan fee, he's paying his own insurance and we'll pay him the same as top earners) and it's about only having him for 2 months vs 1 month
In which case we should sign him for just the month. We've already had some good publicity and there are probably a few people who will have bought Spurs shirts just because he's been pictured in one in training. But really, if he signs he'll be on nearly every sports bulletin, and in every newspaper's sports section in the world.
And if we put out noises that he'll play some part on Sunday it'll probably be one of the most watched premiership games (globally) in recent years. Again he'll probably feature in every bulletin and paper on Sunday night/Monday morning.
All promoting Spurs the brand, our style of play, White Hart Lane and, no doubt, how we've been brilliant in the CL this season. Football-wise there are a number of positions we can bring him on for, for the last 10-15 mins and he can do a job. And it's already been reported how all the players have a spring in their step the last 24hrs so it's hardly going to upset the apple cart.
It's a big opportunity and difficult to see a downside so I'd be amazed if Levy misses it - as smart as he always is. This will also help us to secure a top striker rather than distract us, as that other thread said

More importantly Ledley was training today.

Honesty or a ploy from Harry before we name Beckham on the bench this Sunday?
Well he is injured now anyway so it's a moot point.
blister on his foot.
can't remember rightly, but was there this much media attention when he was training with the scum?
any new news on D BECK?
