Tottenham are planning a double swoop for Cardiff's David Marshall and Steven Caulker.

With Cardiff's relegation confirmed by defeat at Newcastle, the Bluebirds are resigned to losing several of their top stars this summer.

England defender Caulker, who like midfielder Gary Medel has a release clause in his contract, only left White Hart Lane for the Welsh capital last summer.

But the north Londoners are thought to be keen to bring the 22-year-old back to the Lane and also want Scotland keeper Marshall - although they could face competition from Liverpool for the pair.

Marshall has made more saves than any other Premier League keeper this season and signed a new four-year contract in February.

But the 29-year-old would be available for a fee of around £6million having proven he belongs in the top-flight with a string of outstanding performances.

I really hope that Lloris stays, but if he is sold Marshall would be a decent option.

If we sell one of the Top 5 GKs in the World and replace him with Marshall I will be livid

I think Marshall is a good keeper, but I understand your frustration as he's not as good as Lloris. The only problem is who else can we go for?

Lloris not leaving this season. Unless a massive fee is offered.
Waiting for a new manager to come in and is happy here.

Marshall could be our new number 2?

Play him in the domestic cups and the Europa.

I doubt he'd really be happy to play second fiddle. Despite Cardiff shipping a lot of goals he's actually been pretty decent for them between the sticks. Had a few good games. If I were a keeper I'd rather be playing regularly as the number 1 for a Championship side that have a decent chance for promotion than as a number 2 keeper in the Premier league that can't even get into the top 4.

We are in the market for a replacement number two keeper this season as Brad is going to hang up his gloves this summer or next, I'd be happy with Marshall but I think its unlikely.

6m for a 29yr old relegated goalkeeper. Ouch.

Spurs should look to Germany for Hugo's understudy. Perhaps Trapp of Frankfurt.
