If Ibrahimovic was signed because of Cruyff's sayso then why did he say this?

http://in.reuters.com/article/sportsNews/idINIndia-48040820100427

STOCKHOLM (Reuters) - Sweden and Barcelona striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has "good technique for a bad player, bad technique for a good player," according to Dutch great Johan Cruyff.

"You have to get more out of the qualities you have," the former Barcelona player and coach and the club's honorary president said in an interview in the Swedish tabloid Aftonbladet.

"You have to be effective," Cruyff added in a reference to the striker, "especially if you come to a big club from another country. The biggest and hardest steps are the mental ones."

Spursbarca, you really do talk some rubbish on here..

Saying it enough times looks like it might pay off this time
 excellent

As said, be nice to have a player of his ilk at the club, but he's overpriced at £40m and his wages would be astronomically high. Citeh are much less fussy when it comes to over the odds numbers, they can afford to be, which is another reason i'm over the moon it's us in the CL rather than them, yet even with the opportunity to showcase their talent on the biggest stage in European club competition, I still think more players than you'd expect would rather go with Citeh on the promise of CL football next year and an insane wage, rather than compete for us on a sensible wage.

Which i'm glad for, because then we can identify the cash-chasing chuckleheads and give them a wide birth.

The bookies certainly still seem more impressed by City (mainly 6-1 for the title) and pool (around 10-1) than us (mostly 50-1 and we were shorter than this after 4 matches last year.)

So maybe the big players will be too? I'm pretty sure there's some systemic fuck up in the bookies models causing them to miss our team cohesion, style of play, and the momentum all gathered though our relatively consistent progress towards the Champions league over the last 6 years (always playing 442.)

Ibrahimovic would probably prefer city, but how much difference would that make to them as an 'upgrade' from Adebayor anyway?

City are really stupid with money. Ibrahimovic is quite a quality player, but he's a divisive character and will not help them build a "team". And at 40 million, I'd rather have Dzeko for 10 million less.

I would rather get Berbatov back than get Ibra. Both are stroppy as hell, but Berbatov would cost a lot less. I rate Ibra higher than Berbs, but not by much. Not to mention the silly wages Ibra would be on.

Good points. And I also don't see Ibra as that much of an upgrade on Adebayor. Both can be brilliant on their day, both can score outrageous goals (Ibra perhaps more so), but both can go missing in big games and have suspect temperament in not trying hard enough to succeed when things don't go their way.

Or Crouch would wish he actually was on crack, running with his tongue out yards behind the play after yet another fast pass has been made between defence and midfield, toying around with him. And many people would applaud his workrate, oblivious to the fact that it does not achieve anything other than exhausting the forward - so when we get the ball and need him to make a run, he would usually not have enough energy left...
