Nice to see him back today. I thought he played well.

The boys a proper pro, doesnt bitch about being in and out of the team and is always ready to play. For one I hope we keep him come January.

Yep. He really should've been given a PL chance a wee bit sooner. He's looked solid almost whenever he's been brought in this season. Neither Dawson or Gallas are proper long term first choices for us, but I'd far rather Dawson be given the chances to impress. The correct time to give him a go was after the Chelsea game, where Gallas was simply dreadful, but either way, I'm very happy for him that he got a chance today and delivered.

Terrific bloke, true gentleman and a good club man.

Was good today. I was one of those who said drop him and ship him out as he hasn't got the legs on him. This game didn't prove he had the legs on him but proved (if he really needed to) he is a brilliant CB and he should start over Gallas.

Tottenham through and though and a good defender to boot.

He is a great squad player in my opinion. He does have limitations, but we won't get many better happy to fight for his place and know he won't play every game.

You gotta love his attitude, always seems to give 110%. I think he always looks good with a proper footballing center back. Shame he got injured the other season, he made the England team and was playing so well for us.

It will be tough to see who gets picked when all the CB's are fit. Kaboom and Verts? Tough choices and I doubt they will all be fit at the same time.

If he has limitations he makes up for it with heart,I hope he keeps his place for the rest of the season.

His passion is what takes him from an average to a good player. He'll throw himself in front of anything for Spurs and that attitude is worth millions.

I have a terrible fear Harry is going to come along in January and offer big money for Daws, because he knows how good he is (and probably knows how shit Anton Ferdinand is too).

Was brilliant today. Powerful, good judgement, good in the air against possibly the league's most difficult big striker to play against, and more than anything else led the defence brilliantly. Constantly communicating and giving instrcution and direction.

I actually think his dropping by AVB might be the making of him. He looks very serious and determined to be the best he can be, and he looks improved from previous outings.

Too many long passes again today but that's the only down side.

It's also nice to see AVB's not frozen him out of the team/squad. Maybe he learnt after the chelski stuff when he seemed to alienate some players who he wanted gone from the squad, never good for moral or you never know when you might just need them to come back in.

Will be interesting to see if Daws will keep his place on Weds?

He was good enough to be a regular in a team that finished fourth in the league and good enough to be a regular in a team that did very well in the champions league aswell.

He has more than proven himself good enough, despite what BC may try and convince himself and others different.

When healthy, it has to be Kaboul and Vertonghen. Jan looks a bit leggy playing so much on the left. He wants to play in the middle as well. With those two there, I think the back line will have good leadership and be well organized.

And cheers to Michael Dawson on a solid performance. Hope he keeps it up.

He lost 6 of the 9 arial challenges he went for, how does that translate as "good in the air".

At least you stopped short of "and brokered the Israeli/gaza peace agreement" I guess.

He's been so badly treated by AVB. I'd be amazed If QPR don't come back for him in January and we see him captaining the hoops to safety in the New Year

Shame because as said he's got certain limitations but makes up for it with heart and passion, something you cannot buy or coach and something vital to all good teams. Absolutely fantastic 1st team squad member

Because if you know anything about playing CB you know that winning headers doesn't itself constitute good defending. When you're up against a massive lump who is great at winning the ball in the air, you concentrate on preventing him from doing anything useful with it. That's exactly what we did.

You need to go smoke a joint or have a wank because you're actually embarrassing yourself tonight. On most topics you talk a lot of sense but you're absolutely hysterical when it comes to Dawson.

Heart and Passion are affordable. Quality and ability come more expensive.
