I loved VdV and would never have sold him, but anyone who thinks he was an unqualified success at Spurs is letting memory trick them. He had lots and lots of totally anonymous games. The crowd used to get on his back.

Disastrous AVB's one full season remains our record premiership points haul, despite what everyone expected of last season's team.

tell you who could be this seasons VDV (if a similar Levy masterstroke occurs) - Ivan Rakiti - rumor agent wants him out of Barca - would be AMAZING...recognize it won't happen and he will probably end up at Chelscum or the goon squad but still - we can dream

That's fine, I preferred last season too - I'm just saying it's bizarre and unfair that people look back on AVB as a disaster.
