I think that's a bit of an overstatement.
Having seen him clearly be the best player (by miles) at the u-17 World cup not really. He was also one of the youngest players in the tournament at 16. How many times you seen him play by the way?

Wasn't Coulibaly the player of the tournament one year as well?

You didnt answer my question? Seems you are starting a debate for the sake of an argument TBH. I could equally name players that starred in the U-17 WC that DID become superstars.

Have these match highlights from the Utd game been posted yet?

Not quite sure what to make of him in that video. On the plus side he looks a good athlete, and seems to be taking on a lot of responsibility for a young lad, taking the ball off the defenders and looking to dictate play. On the negative side I wasn't overly impressed with his ability on the ball, constantly passing sideways and backwards, and, in a style eerily similar to Jenas, he never seems to be in full control of the ball, or entirely sure of what he wants to do with it.

There's definite potential there, but he looks, in that video at least, like he's got a long way to go yet.

I like us signing young players with potential and we need to give them a good few years to settle and develop. But when i started watching it I thought of Jenas. Always going sideways or backwards, when they did show him pass forward he gave the ball away each time...this isn't me having a dig - more of a chuckle as I thought it wasn't the best video to showcase his talents:)

Agree, some good shows of strength though.

Each player will develop differently, just because one didn't make it doesn't mean others wont. I think a lot of it is desire at that age, who really wants it and is willing to sacrifice everything to work hard and learn.

I know Kane is older, but just look at his work rate and desire to be as good as he can. You could also see that in Bale. However, Dos Santos starred in youth tournaments but thought he had made it far too early.

To me he looks more like a Paulinho replacement. I confess to have never seen him for Don but have seen him player for Eng a couple of times. He doesn't seem to have the technical ability of Onomah or Winks but he does seem strong and has one thing those guys are missing and that is goals. Very much see him as that box to box Paulinho was meant to be, who has good work rate does enough either end of the pitch but more importantly will get into position to get chances and score goals. Out of curiosity as I know I haven't seen much of him. For those who think he will instantly go to being our best young player I'm curious to know how much you have seen of him play and how much of our young players you have seen and if so what he does better? Merci

Pochettino warns new signing Dele Alli he must calm down

TOTTENHAM manager Mauricio Pochettino has told Liverpool fan Dele Alli to 'calm down' and keep a level head following his £5m move to the Premier League.

The 18-year-old is back on loan with MK Dons after signing a deal with Tottenham that will bring him to White Hart Lane in the summer, but until then Pochettino is keen not to get carried away about a player who has already been described as 'the new Steven Gerrard'.

Pochettino said: "We believe in him. As a club we decided to sign him. He is a good player for the future. And now he is our player. We will analyse him but he is a good signing for the future.

"For now, he needs to stay calm and play for is team like before. When the time comes for him to come to work with Tottenham he will be ready. I think he is a very good signing for us.

I was fully expecting, based on the headline, to hear Alli's been smoking and drinking and partying at every opportunity.

A guy at work lives in Milton Keynesand knows young delli, he plays/ed football with him.

Delli is a liverpool fan and his idol is Gerrard, delli told all his mates that he thought he was off to Newcastle all January, apparently bayern munich submitted a bid but he loves spending time at home with his parents. Mk dons are now paying us a loan fee aswell.

From what my work mate says he owns really down to earth guy who is really looking forward to playing for us, we also said he wont be in the devolpment squad and would be near the first team squad..that was another reason he decided to join us.

Passing in good faith
