It's like taking back your wife after she's gang banged a football team

Jeebus... why is it fans always equate players to their spouses!?

I consider Berbatov my child. And so should you. Therefore it doesn't matter what he's done, you'll take him back home (and tell the neighbors that the baby is yours).

look at how weve treated our commodities/football players when we wanted top dollar, its business, hes no better or worse than sheringham, except sheringham asked nicely..

come back dimi, score 15-20 goals for the next 3 seasons and retire knowing you did the right thing and paid back your dues...

asked nicely. Bit different from going on strike and admitting deliberately not trying because he thought we were shite

As Montasura says, he might be a knob (Berbatov, not Montasura), but he's a gifted player who is proven in the Premier League. We'd be bananas not to consider him. Honestly, if deals for various Brazilians can't be made then this could be great business and I'm not too proud or bitter to celebrate goals scored and made by a knob, and if a knob earns us points then I'll gladly take them.

Written much more eloquently than my post davros!! And trust me, many people have called me a knob before as well !!!

The other thing to consider here is the the goals he scored when he was with us before. Yes he was 4 years younger and maybe a bit faster, although he was never reknowned for his speed anyway, but we had a pretty crap midfield in comparison to what we will potentially have by the end of today yet he scored for fun. 4 years older but still has the technical and visionary gift...combine that with balls coming at him from Bale, Dembele, Sig, Sandro, and potentially Moutinho and he could be fantastic!! And all for what looks to be less than £5m. I really dislike the knob, but I'm not stupid enough not to recognise a gifthorse when I see it. At his worst he would still get us easily 10 goals and the same number of assists, at his worst! Plus we NEED another striker ffs!! If people don't recognise this then they are deluded. If Ade broke his leg on saturday we would be completely fucked and a team full of Moutinhos won't make a damn bit of difference.

Berbatov would get us fourth. He really would. , maybe even better. He's the perfect player. We should try. Remember seeing him up top on his own for us? He was amazing, the perfect lone striker.

Wasn't it against Bolton that Keano got sent off leaving Berbs all alone up front? He played the best performance I have ever seen anyone play that afternoon. Totally world class at his pomp.

I'd much rather Berbatov than no one. We'd be mental not to be interested if he's still up for grabs and that price

Yes, he was incredible that day. He was two players in one, which is exactly what you was when playing one striker. AvB's system will probs be a bit different, but he'd be perfect for it.

He seems like the £3 million back up option if we can't get anyone else and is delaying signing for Fulham to see what we want to do to me.

Hey I'll take whatever help we can get tbh. The way he acted to leave wasn't admirable but I have to admit that I like the thought of him linking up with out other skillful players.
