Soldado isn't going to get past 5 goals this season with the service we've given him over last two games. Also want to see Paulinho get forward more

Siggy is almost the anti spurs player at the moment, his touch slowing the movement right down.

Capoue, Dembele and lil'Paul all a lot quicker on and around the ball than poor ol' siggy!

While we averaged a good number of points the loss against pool after being 2-1 up came after the first leg of Inter, while the dire Fulham loss came after the second leg. Tiredness defiantly played a role in those two defeats of which if one was a victory we would of finished 4th.
Yeah but 2+ pts a game over 20+ games is not fading away. That assnal managed to pull a title-winning run of form out of their arse over the last dozen is to their credit but does not indicate that we fell away.

and Villa tore them to bits to be fair, Chelsea had much more possession but Villa had the better chances

that has more to do with delph and their cms stopping all their through ball and benteke's super hold up play than their fb being caught out of position..

lennon has pace, townsend has goals. sig imo, has none. not fast enough to blow past players, not tricky/accurate of a dribbler to skip past opponent, not enough goals/creative enough to play behind striker. i like siggy, great set piece taker, but jack of all trades, master of none, too similar to chadli, except imo chadli offers more goals. rather sell siggy before anyone else. but hey its just me
Fair point, I'd probably sell Gylfi before I sold Lennon too. Wasn't even really considering Sigurdsson as a winger but I guess he'd have to be considered given that AVB starts him out wide 50% of the time that he's named in the team.

Yes. Could be a case of a square peg. He's a good player, lovely technique etc. His face, or feet anyway, just not fitting in right now is it? Wrong club for the player maybe but if AVB wants to really implement the 4-3-3 and the high-line etc, I'm not seeing Gylfi being anything other than rarely used.

Come on Enfield you're better than that- its 30 minutes into our 2nd game of the season with half a dozen players playing together for the first time! Bit early for that sort of call- plus willian to come hopefully

Having to stay at work at the moment so not actually watching, but are we playing more of a 4-3-3 tonight?

I like the fact that every time the ball comes to Capoue it seems to go forwards, be it due to him passing forwards or dribbling forwards. No sideways shit: just get the ball closer to their goal. (y)
