Actually quite a good signing for them with Jones out. Will give them some pace upfront.

I agree. I think he's actually a really good player. Far better player than Jones, but doesn't have the phycial attributes Jones does, which he uses to great effect. I think when Jones is fit, they will compliment each other very well. Keane is building a decent side.

He's certainly buying much more wisely than last season, although some players will be more willing to go as it's their second season back in the Premier League...

I thought he bought pretty well last year. He at least grasped the fact that the first thing you need to stay in the premiership is a decent keeper. The money spent on Gordon was certainly money well spent.

True, and if Richardson hadn't been injured so much he could have been good for them, but a lot of his other signings smacked of desperation (Russel Anderson, Roy O'Donovan)

They will be a decent outfit this season, I imagine they'll be very 'boro' like, in that one week they can be pretty damn dire, the next they look like a good side. They'll be round 11th/12th.

The way things are shaping up, it seems like it will be a very predictable relegation battle next season with both Hull and Stoke going down.

and if keane picked up ghaly too i think we can all agree that would be money well spent, maybe even the best deal of this window, would be cheap as he is injured , maybe 2 million?
