I don't know what you mean by this? I just said I don't not want diouf at spurs because he's a prick, I don't want him here because he's simply not good enough, he is bolton level.

Diouf has played in a world class tournament, well done, so have many average players, are we going to sign Chris Birchall from Coventry? or Josip Skoko?

he's not a class player at all, he's never done anything of note & his goals ratio is shit. he has nothing to offer our side.

He has a great phsical pressence abouit him which we lack but, he would be 4th choice in are team, and I would like Kitson more for he will give the passion we lack

Fair points Kendell.

Looking at it from a footballing point of view I personally believe a player of Diouf abilities shouldn't be over looked. He would certainly offer us more assist play than Malbranque and even Lennon. Reading through some of the posts just got me thinking as to why a player with such skills ( OK he hasn't done himself any favors with his past actions on the field) being available, is revered while other players with much more despicable past history IE Woodgate and if i remember correctly there was a big debate for us to buy J Barton are excepted.

Yea and I still rate Barton as a good player and he's been in good form recently. I still think he'd have been a good defensive asset. In general I don't let the player themselves cloud my judgement, it's all about their ability on the pitch - unless they play for chelscum or arse

It's not a case of 'no better' it's a case of 'no where near the same level'

I noted recently that I've been posting in agreement or in tandom with your thesis Kendall but on this remark I have to differ.

No matter what level of class and skill the player can bring to the team, if he's a bad apple, the morale in the changing room could dive. The whoe dynamic of the team can be disrupted. It's why players like Diouf have an average change cycle of eighteen months to two years. They've burnt their worth to the team out.

What the fuck? Seriously Si, have a word with yourself. That's not on, dude. I'll give you the benefit and presume your trying to be funny, but you've failed. You've not shown any signs of racism before, but for anyone who might be offended by this, now would be a good time to apologise. Starting with...

Can I ask - how, or why can people be offended by that comment?

Diouf's a class player IMO a player thats is either loved or hated. If he came to Spurs and played his best football (his heart out) the fans would love him.. because his an emotional player.

If Woodgate can be forgiven why not Diouf?

Woodgate has matured. Diouf hasn't.

Woodgate has matured. Diouf hasn't.

Why don't you think Diouf hasn't matured?

His been loyal to Bolton and put in a good shift to help with their relegation battle IMO and from all accounts got a standing ovation from the Bolton fans in his perceived last game at the Reebok stadium.

He also hasn't been seen spitting at people and i reckon has learned a lesson or two from Nolan.

He's still constantly diving around, and trying to wind people up. That to me, is still immature.

 not the best example, but I sorta see what your saying

The thing is Woodgate was never really a thug on the pitch while Diouf is.

That's fair enough, though I do remember back in the day many people saying they wouldn't have that nasty piece of shit Roy Keane in their team, or that total **** Vieira
