A top-four finish is there for Mauricio Pochettino’s side to claim as their own but Spurs must first see off Leicester and possibly Chelsea.

"While one might expect the Foxes to fall away to an extent over the next few months, the interesting thing this season is that the usual suspects, Liverpool and Everton, are not being touted to take their place."

Why is Everton a 'usual suspect'? The last time they qualified for the European Cup (as was) english teams were banned from Europe.

Everton made it under Moyes when Liverpool won the champs league.

I think Liverpool,Everton, Southampton will give us a hard job getting 4th we are playing well but our points tally needs to reflect our performances we have drawn way to many games we needed to win. Still can't count out Chelsea, West Ham and liecester we are Spurs after all.

You could argue it's Evertons fault chelsea blocked us in 2011. They finished 4th, Lolerpool 5th and, as a result, UEFA said after that year if it happens again, 4th would lose their place.

few would be completely confident in writing them off at this stage, simply because of what Mourinho has achieved in the past.

Is it simply that? Or is it simply that they have the capacity to invest hundreds of millions in January to rectify it?

Liverpool. Usual suspects. But nothing to do with football.

Why is Everton a 'usual suspect'? The last time they qualified for the European Cup (as was) english teams were banned from Europe.

An article which from the headline purports to be about Spurs and then says almost nothing about Spurs. Poor effort from Paul Wilson.

I don't count out Chelsea but I count out West Ham and Leicester city, especially Leicester city. They will run out of steam because their squads are not good enough. Leicester city have let in twice as much goals as we have.

We've only completed a third of our season and still have 26 more games to go. That is a lot of games that we have yet to play.

We cannot and should not be thinking of CL yet. The focus should be each game at a time, and I'm sure Poch will be making sure of that. It's too early to get carried away and get our hopes up. You cannot dismiss Chelski, Liverpool and Southampton and I for one will not be talking of our CL ambitions at least until April. This is Spurs after all.

Some have said do not talk about our CL qualification, just take it or not at season end... I would say.. remember Bill Nick words about aiming high and failing is better than aiming low and succeeding... COYS
