It all depends how close we are to 4th place finishing in 6th no? If we finish 20 points of 4th then we'd probably all expect him to be sacked, if he's only a couple of points off with a very good points total then I doubt anyone will want him sacked, including Levy

It's not always Black and White Mullers
But I said in the post you quoted he would mostly likely get away with 6th this season. Next season I am not sure he would.

I actually think he would this season, even under those circumstances.

First season and all, transitional and all. Hell get away with it

Arsenal have qualified for the CL 17 times in a row, Man Utd are in 4th and have been throwing around money like confetti and are looking to spend more in January. Liverpool have been scratchy but they are only 3 points behind us and have money to spend. Still a long way to go, before the Everton match a relegation fight was mentioned.

Me Personally i never mentioned that we would get into a relegation fight Mullers but i take your point regarding Utd they have spent a lot and no doubt will spend more come january.
Im pretty sure that with their huge spend the may get top Four again, in fact usually where you finish is relative to your spend isnt it.
Dont get me wrong i get your pain as i would love to see us play champions league again and win silverware certainly win something as top Four doesnt show up on your roll of honour.
I dont think we will get top four this year but it is obtainable maybe lets see who we get january to kick us on.

And next season if we finish 6th?

Levy is a businessman, as such, he will demand signs of 'continuous improvement'.
He has delivered this over the last 14 years with, pretty much, year on year financial growth.
He expects the same from his management structure regarding football matters.

Poch will be expected to get around 6th this year, and then to improve next year.
If he doesn't, and only gets 6th again, Levy will look at mitigating circumstances. Injuries to key players, higher points total, clearing out of all senior players leaving an inexperienced team, improving performances, the team/fans behind him etc and if he thinks there are then Poch will get another season.
If the points total has dropped and there is dressing room unrest and fans booing then he will sack him, just as he did Jol, Ramos, and AVB.

No, for the reasons that I've said in my post before last, unless we are only a couple of points off 4th

Come on Mullers, keep up, I thought you were an intelligent man ;)

Well fellas 6th is punching at our weight regardless of the points difference, it's been continuously argued that fans should be happy with that. So if 6th isn't enough for Levy to back his manager regardless of the circumstances surely fans should not be expected to be happy with 6th either?

Mullers, you are just not listening to reason in the slightest! As I said, it's not just black and white like that!

Well, personally i'd be assuming he'd be of average height and have a full head of hair…….:cautious:

I was watching the Dear Leader the other day and thought he'd be so much happier with a Persian cat to stroke Ernst Stavro Blofeld-style. He could also stick it on his bonce—it would be quite as convincing as Elton John and Donald Trump's rugs.

They will all need to be replaced. Vertoghen I don't rate that highly but Lloris is a top player and Eriksen is one of our most important players.

What's that got to do with us wanting Enic out? Also, if players want to leave because we finish 7th or whatever then quite frankly, fuck them.

If we don't get proper replacements and they take us backwards then discontent me grows.
I agree with the second part.
