Does anyone still rate Walker?

Phill Neville summed it up on MOTD, Walker has been at fault for about 4 of the last 5 goals we have conceded. We cant keep carrying a complete liability.

Has all the tools to be a top full back, but unfortunately unless he gets a brain transfer then he will never will be top notch. We definitely need to look for a new right back in the summer

I always rate a Spurs player even if, some are not up to required standard :) Having said that I am fed up with watching silly mistakes and slack attitude!

Is your first paragraph about Yedlin or walker? Hilarious, but you could apply that description to walker too!

Awful awful awful
It's a fair point tbh. I was referring to Yedlin obviously... but yeah, I can see what you mean about Walker.

Bear in mind last season though - he was excellent throughout much of it.

It's just a bad patch, maybe with Naughton gone he really does have no competition for the RB spot? I've never known how much that old excuse is relevant but maybe there's actually something in it...

Has been absolute shite last two games but this feels like last years Danny Rose slag-a-thon. He shouldn't be in the team right now but I think the sell him now attitude is knee jerk

Totally agree.

I wish we still had Dawson.

He's been out a long time, still re-finding his form. He has been very shit though, maybe being dropped for a couple of games will sort him out.

Roy picking him for England is a complete joke.

It also sends the wrong message.

He says he improved his game when he was injured, no sign of that so far.

He also said he looks up to Dani Alves, at his peak Alves was the best in his position (going forward) and was/is an intelligent player. He was also a fantastic crosser of the ball, I see no sign of Walker copying some of his good attributes.

I can't help but wonder if the lack of Lennon's defensive workrate in front of him has affected his form, along with his long injury.

Dont think it's Lennon not being about, he's been shit since we went from 'Arry's 4-4-2 to AVB's 4-2-3-1. What I'm trying to say is that AVB/Poch's tactics have exposed his lack of footballing ability. We can try and find reasons why his form has dropped but the bottom line is he's just not that good, and never will be.

I'm still a fan although his form is worrying

I'd like to think it's due to the incredibly long lay off and we won't see him back to his best before he gets another pre season under his belt

Also the lack of Lennon etc helping him out sometimes...

Townsend and Chadli offer very little in the way of cover and that's being polite

He is out of form and is finding it hard to play himself back into it. Still a talent and we should not write him off. Probably needs a spell but with Naughton gone and some obvious concerns about Yedlin (not experienced enough yet for EPL?) there is no one else unless you want Dier back there. Wierd decision to sell Naughton if Yedlin was not ready IMO.

The irony is that our two full-backs, who over the last season and a half have been utterly pilloried by all and sundry, and who at one time or another more than half the forum have wanted to see sold, could well be England's starting full backs come the next international.

When was the last time that happened to this club?

Mentz bantz.

This coming back from injury lark is generous. He has taken a downward trajectory since winning the PFA. His decision making has always been questionable at best and he has had the awful habit of stopping play / ball dithering for a good 2 years.

Last season before his injury he was at fault for many goals, and the season before that, like when we lost 4-2 to Chelsea at home.

We say he has potential because he has raw physical attributes, which is fair enough but I haven't seen any improvement upstairs for 2/3 years?

For years we've been saying his pace has always got him out of trouble, but can we still say than? Has this hip thing cost him half a yard? If he has lost any pace then his positioning will need to improve massively. Does he have the brain to do that? Especially having never had to worry too much in the past.

I've always rated him, and last year at the start, he was brilliant. We need him to find form or adapt quickly.
