Okay, Juve were co-owners of Berardi until 2015 were they sold his rights as part of the Zaza deal. However, they agreed on a clause which meant Juve could buy him for £25m, Juve activated that clause, Berardi said no and stayed in Sassuolo. The clause expired at the end of last year.

Berardi is 100% a Sassuolo player.

I see. Thanks for clearing that up :)

Has anyone actually spent time watching him in full games? From his youtube clips he looks like he just runs into people and dribbles too much without passing. Given that loads of people think we'd be lucky to get him does he offer more than that?

the lucky to get him is from about 3 years ago when he was seen as something - now it's far from the case i'd question the scouting department if this was the case he is really avg

I have indeed seen him live. I think his biggest weakness is lack of passing precision, he misplaces too many passes. You can do that in Italy and not care, in PL it can be the death of you. However, passing accuracy should be coachable, and it should also improve if you play in a team unit that moves coherently together. It is to me a moot discussion, though. Ask your self this, what would probably be Sassuolo's valuation of Berardi? What would probably Levy be willing to pay?

Thanks guys, he does look bang average and I'm hoping JJ is referring to someone else. I'd much rather take Gray from Leicester if we're looking for someone in that mold.

i just remembered who he reminds me of and it's not even a hyperbole but he is the italian tom ince 100%

Tom Ince is a nothing footballer. Nobody has ever watched anybody play football and said, "Ah, he really reminds me of Tom Ince". Not even when they're watching Tom Ince play are people thinking about Tom Ince, such is his nothingness.

Like I said I've only seen his youtube video but its 3 minutes of him running into people with the ball and giving it away. Either someone is shit at making the video's or he doesnt have many highlights?
Prefering Demarai Gray to Domenico Berardi is like refusing to have a glass of Bordeaux because water is a drinkable liquid too.

Berardi - 111 Serie A appearances, 43 goals and 33 assists
Gray - 42 Premier League appearances, 1 goal, 5 assists

Really makes you think.

I remember soldado having fantastic stats before joining. So did Janssen.

I was purely basing my opinion from a Video posted in the thread which shows very little of him. Others that have watched him more say he is decent and that's fine.

Or perhaps you could compare it to paying an extra £10 on the bottle because it has a fancy label that says it's from Italy when in reality it's poor quality.

Yeah but then you brought up Gray who has basically done nothing.

We had our chance to get Gray when he was at Birmingham City we passed, with Marcus Edwards about I think we should stay clear.

I remembered we passed on Connor Wicker to when at Ipswich and trusted our own Harry Kane.

We should trust our own development player first.
