If I was this kids parents, I'd be advising him the same.

May as well try, get set up for life.

Jobs done.

Don't give us that! Even if Chelsea accepted the £50K a week you'd still be on the phone to Poch telling him that he'd sign for Spurs for £30K and a couple of season tickets.

All the buying clubs sees here is 'Chelsea's top Hot Prospect available soon'. Good work by the agent.

Aside from the wage thing, he'd take one look at what Poch demands of his creative players in terms of their defending, tracking and workrate and run a mile..

I'm sure thats the idea. :D

I'm sure Mata was studying for 2 degrees when he joined chelsea. He's not your typical footballer.

Yeah see guys, this right here is what we call a joke. The kid wants to play football. He knows he wont get that at Chelsea. So what does he do? Say "pay me and set me up for life without me doing a thing or i walk so i can play football."

The club's have made a rod for their own backs with the huge salaries that are primarily a result of the transfer market and poaching. If Chelsea don't pay him that then another club will, as from an outside perspective is a relative bargain price!

Could be a story on the clubs side to get him to sign a contract they put on the table or to lower his demands a little.
