Surely Gio Dos Santos would advise his brother not to come here...

Gio's got no one but himself to blame for his lack of success at Spurs, imo. Whether he'd bad mouth us or not, I guess he might.

But we've had a change of regime anyway - Harry out, who obviously had issues with Gio, and AVB in.

Agreed about Gio only having himself to blame. Just think his brother is unlikely to go to a club where he failed.

Thing is Deulofeu plays for Barcelona B which play in same League as which Yago Falque plays in, and apparently YF has been the best player or one of in that league. obviously one is 19 and the other is 23/24 but still worth a go to give him first team chacnes

Indeed Falque has been better but Gerrard is expected to be a star player of world proportions, if there was one youth player that we should get it would be Deulofeu, imo. But I dont think its going to happen but if Neymer move happens earlier we should sign him.

Also Falque has been playing CM/CAM/LW/RW, just constantly moving around and they are different types of players

So you would see Deulofeu being an addition to the Academy? You think YF should get a chance next year for our squad?

Dos Santos would be the most probable to move in my opinion, but after what happened to his older brother would it really be to us...

The other two are thought of as very good prospects aren't they? Certainly don't think Deulofeu would be available.

dos santos is just like he's brother (attitude)
Deulofeu no chance barca have big plans for him
roberto seems like they don't rate him as much as they did when he first joined the B team

I honestly couldnt say tbh, Falque has something that we desperately need imo and we would could do with him but our squad is bloated it will hard for him to get a look in. I think a La Liga loan would be great for him, he has always been tipped to be a very good player, the barca journo who said he was one of the best if not the best player in the league said it was a shame he did leave but he was one who had the talent to be good. In 3 years he has only played a couple of europa games and two seasons of La Liga B games both times he has been a star for his team. He needs to play so I think he will be sold to a la liga club or loaned tbh.

As for Gerrard he would come in as development player and would possibly be loaned out or even be 4th choice winger. He is someone everyone in Barca thinks will be a great player i.e. close to Messi's level of ability, they expect a front 3 of

Neymar---Messi----Gerrard

So all in all I think its a load of bollocks him coming to us tbh.

I can only see a loan as a possibility Deulofeu is hugely rated at Barca and Sergi is also a player they have strong hopes for. Jonathan Dos Santos wants more playing time and they may well let him go, so would be the more likely sale, but is hardly going to trust us to get playing time after how Gio struggled
Duelofeu is supposedly close to agreeing a new deal, but maybe they might be happy to let him go on loan for a season, but I get the impression they were happy to lose Afellay and let Tello go because they feel he is the better option

Unless Barca are offered silly money they won't let Deulofeu go. As already stated, they have big plans for this player and he'll be getting more playing time from next season on (he's still only 19).
According to ITK Archi (SO) Spurs were supposed to sign both Gio & Jonatan Dos Santos back "then". Really doubt he'll join a club where his brother couldn't make it. He's more of a defensive player and I think in the EPL one would need more brawn than he posses in the positions he normally plays anyway.
Sergi Roberto is the player Barca are more likely to let go, as they have an abundance of players in that position. But not sure where he'll be the right man for Spurs, and he's relatively unproven in top footy.
I won't hold my breath nor lose any sleep over these rumors.

The only way we would ever get Deulofeu this summer is if he was part of a package for Bale and even then I would be surprised. The kid is something special and would make no sense for Barca to sell him.

I would rather have Christian Tello, who I think very well may be pushed out of his spot when/if Neymar comes in.

Can definitely see us picking up these type of signings this summer. I'm all for it, I'd much prefer to gamble on excellence (Tello etc), rather than settle for rank mediocrity (I'm looking at you, Clint).

Dont want anyone of them. go and try to find young german players that fit into the English playstyle. schurrle would be great for our team now when gareth is playing Central. Insted of wasting it on barcelona B players.

Gerard Deulofeu is pretty freaking amazing. If we land him I'd be over the moon.

If you have ever thought to yourself: "Hrmm, Tottenham could really use some creativity in the squad" first of all, you're not clueless, and second of all, Deulofeu has bags of creativity.

If he's available (highly unlikely) he's a fantastic alternative to the uber-expensive Isco.

He reminds me so much of Messi in his smooth control of the ball, the way it just seems to stick to his feet in the tightest of spots and he always seems to know where the net is, or where his teammates are.

Always sign Deulofeu on Feefuh for a couple of million. Gets up to about 82 after 3 yrs or so and is very good backup to Rodriguez.

From my position of knowledge, I would tell DL and the club to pull the trigger on this one.
