I was at the game at the Lane in (i think the FA Cup) where we were 3-0 up half time yet somehow managed to lose 4-3. I ended up in the Mirror and on Sky Sports cos me and a mate just had the comic strip emotion ride, joyous badge kissing and whatever up to half time, then a sense of "oh well, consolation" and then it just went bad to worse...i've got that at home somewhere LOL

I was on the last Wembley programme when Villa got through to F.A.Cup Final against Chelsea. Yes..only I would be able to pick me out, but it's definitely me! It was a crowd shot from the semi final (which was at Wembley also) and you can see both me and my bro...I was chuffed anyway!

When we played Feyenoord back in 1962, I ran on the pitch (losing a shoe in the mud, which I had to retrieve)after the game to get their Dutch international winger's autograph (Moulijn).

When I got home, the family said, "We saw you!" They'd watched the game on TV and the camera had still been running while Ken Wolstenholme was doing his summing up and there I was in the full black and white glory of those halcyon telly days. I had even got a Dutch dictionary from the library so I could learn to ask Moulijn for his autograph in his own language!

If you think I was nuts, bear in mind I was only 14 years old at the time (but you're probably right anyway).

Ok as we're swapping cameo roles, at one stage during the Villa game this season I got a 5-10 sec spot on setanta, me with my head in my hands with the comentators passing comment, I got texts from all over the place including someone on holiday watching it in Spain and one from a guy I haven't seen for four years.
Still not seen it meself but it must have been a treat for everyone else.

14 minutes and 50 seconds of fame to go before I die.
