Edgar Davids possesses winner's medals for the European Cup, the Uefa Cup and Serie A. The midfielder captained Holland, played in four major tournaments and was named in the Fifa All-Star XI from the 1998 World Cup.

Davids has graced the midfields of Ajax, Juventus, AC Milan, Barcelona and Inter Milan. His spell at Spurs was not the most productive, but he clearly remembers it fondly.
Hanging on the wall of Spurs' Chigwell training ground is a fax from Ajax, in which Davids congratulates his old team-mates on their League Cup success. The Dutchman always had a touch of class.

That's very professional of Davids. It was said that he was a Spurs supporter and this is truely a nice gesture.

:clap:Thanks Davids

Miss him. Thought he was good for the young players. No accident how much carrick and Lennon developed with him here.

He says the time in which Davids was here wasn't the most productive. This is surely only true of his second season with us. If Davids hadn't been part of the 2005/2006 team we wouldn't have challenged for fourth. He was instrumental in that season.

Perhaps he was not at his peak when he was at Spurs, but he was a good signing and he was good to the young players - encouraging and motivational with bags of experience.
He installed a tenacity which was part of his character.
I believe he had an argument with someone! Was it Keano?

Yeah, him and Captain K got into a bit of physical tussle. Had to be separated and then they continued in the locker room, apparently.

That would have been classic to see. Maybe that was a game changer in Keano's game.

Who can remember the Arse match when Jol ushered Edgar on with an Arse player on his arse . Davids crossed low in to the box for Keano to sweep in to the net with Lehman going in to orbit. One of the greatest moments. Ever.

I was at that game. It was the last North London Derby at the Library.

I am assuming he meant in terms of results by his (Davids) standards
