Arsenal FC was founded in 1886, in Woolwich, south-east London, but in 1913 they moved north across the city to Arsenal (and later Emirates) Stadium, Highbury. Arsenal has won thirteen First Division and Premier League titles, ten FA Cup and in 2005–06 became the first London club to reach the UEFA Champions League final. Arsenal was originally called Dial Square, but later renamed Royal Arsenal in the late 1800’s. They were promoted to the First Division in 1904, proving to be an exciting place to watch live matches. In 1910, the now bankrupt club was taken over by Henry Norris. Norris moved the club to Highbury, citing the low attendance in other isolated parts of Europe. After the move, Arsenal was relegated to the Second Division. A few years later, however, Arsenal was back in the First Division.
yes but Arsenal never ceased to exist, Gretna is gone. RIP. Arsenal just moved and changed its name, it never died.
Gretna 2008 is now in existance, however it is a different club.
I know something similar happened with Leeds city..
but wasnt that because of legal reasons rather then finacial reasons?
