Marcus Edwards will seek a move away from Tottenham this summer, having reluctantly accepted that his chance of a first-team breakthrough under Mauricio Pochettino has gone.

He doesn’t deserve a first team chance yet. This kid has had far too much smoke blown up his arse.

He may still come good but if you don't believe in your ability to force your way into the first team, Alli, Kane even Dier are prime examples. Then you probably aren't willing to put the work in to get there. Sad, as he's obviously talented. Maybe a move abroad will let him flourish but I suspect he'll go to a newly promoted side, struggle there with moments of potential and then languish with a career in the lower leagues

Quite a few young British players doing well in Germany at the moment. Don't know if the club's patience with him has run out yet but a loan or permanent deal might be good for his development. He'll have to drop the rumoured shitty attitude wherever he plays next season though.

Be careful what you wish for Marcus. Managed 1 sub appearance at mighty Norwich so clearly doesn't have what it takes. Rumours of poor attitude and over inflated opinion of himself also, so, don't let the door hit you in the arse on the way out.

It's the world we live in. Instant gratification. No-one wants to work hard to achieve their goals. Kane being an exception, should be the standard by which all young footballers aspire to.
*edit* Sorry, that should be 'some' people don't want to work hard. (I know many young people that have a good work ethic)

Dele is no less talented, but he works hard to be where he is. So yes edit is correct :)

We’ll sell him with a buy-back clause. If he comes good in three years time, he’ll still only be 21. Sell him to someone like Fulham.

I'd sell him abroad if possible. A weaker league might give him more chance to show off his skills.

Pretty sure we should now just scrap our youth policy and put all our resources into watching Ajax.

Agreed - I’d like to see him somewhere such as Ajax, however if he doesn’t have the temperament to knuckle down at Spurs, I doubt he will have the right mentality to suddenly do so in a foreign country.

I’ll be disappointed if he leaves as I think there is a world class player in there that can be nurtured out of him, and Poch, McDermott and all the other staff are certainly the best team to do this. However Marcus needs to come to the table with the right attitude. I can’t blame an 18yo for not being able to see the woods for the trees, however this is where is family need to provide the right perspective, and I doubt he’s getting that.

He will likely end up another John Bostock at this rate I’m afraid.

A new environment can totally change your perspective. It did for me, i was an idiot when i was younger, probably still am but i have much more awareness now of other people.

Anyone following him on Instagram his latest story post him sitting on the back of what looks like a Porsche pulling his best west side gangsta pose with his gangsta mate!?

He is everything that’s wrong with a long t of the youth players of today they think they’ve made it too soon.

Personally and admittedly I don’t know him but just from social media he seems like a bit of a prick, the kind of prick that if he did break through would start demanding top end wages or forcing a move to a “bigger club” fuck him off I say

Perhaps you’re right, and fair play to you. It would be a shame for his talent to go to waste.
