True, but the manager's job is to get the best out of the players. If BAE needs to feel loved in order to play well then it is up to AVB to suck cock.
I'm not sure that's it though. I think AVB is just a lot more detailed and specific than 'Arry was and Benny just doesn't like taking orders. lol

Pretty much this.

Even if Harry never rated a player, they would always give him 100%

Sometimes these big prima donnas need a hug, confidence boost. I just can't see AVB being like that to Benni or Ade

But then again maybe Ade is just a lazy **** and Benni has been injured for most of the season

Whoa when did this happen? Kranjcar lost interest, GDS too, Pav. All many times looked disinterested and were looking to leave a year before they eventually did. I think the case with BAE is everyone in the team is going for top 4 and he knows he prob wont play for us in it, AVB probably sees he thinks this and he seems like a manager who rates that kind of stuff real high (psycho mindset etc.)

EDIT: by lost interest i of course mean work rate was lower than has been before in matches previous e.g. Pav was even more lazy than before by the end

Look at Jenas, Bentley, BAE, Gomes.

Palyuchenko was just shit plain and simple, GDS wasnt suited to the climate or style of football of the EPL. He signed Krancjar twice but when Bale burst into flames there was only going to be one winner.

One you never mentioned was Bent who he openly criticised, but that's only because of his man love for JD. But Bent isnt even getting into the worst Aston Villa side for the past 25 years, so maybe...

I agree with you partly then :) just not that all players gave 100% and yeah bent was also a good example

Not going to speculate on why he isn't playing so well this season but it does seems like he's on his way out.

A lot of my friends who were very critical of BAE started to acknowledge in the last 2 seasons that he is a good left back.

With Rose out on loan we needed Benny at his best this season. Shame it hasn't happened as Vertonghen and Naughton aren't at their best at left back.

It's was always going to take time to get the squad AVB needs. Hopefully this summer he'll be able to sell the players he doesn't want.

Not going to hate on BAE though, he's still my favourite Spurs player alongside Sandro.

Also rose is looking fantastic, this season he has come out of nowhere to show he can potentially play for us in that LB position. Also an all english back 4 of Walker Dawson Caulker Rose pleases me although vertonghen would obviously get a starting place among that its still a good thing that we have strong domestic players

You left adeboyer out of that bunch
I'm starting to think I'm the only one who actually likes Ade, yes his goal scoring has dried up, but he does a lot for the team and holds the ball up well. Would take Ade over Defoe every day of the week. And when ade is on form he really is one of the best in the business - its been a while though admittedly!

If decent offer came in I think AVB would want to replace Ekotto. Seems like there is something just not working between the 2 of them.

Need Kaboom back if Vertonghen is going to be first choice (and rightly so).

Caulker is a strange one; his style of play reminds me a lot of John Terry but he makes stupid comical errors like Anton Ferdinand.

RE benny, he has been injured for much of the season. His last few games have been poor though. I wouldn't go so far as saying he has been dreadful all season though.

Has anyone else noticed that whenever Naughton plays RB he is utter shite, but a LB he looks half decent (sometimes) - or am I imagining things?

I thought Naughton at RB today was one of our pluses, did really well considering siggy never tracked the fullback

That's a depressing thought. He was caught at of position many times including on at least one of the goals. The rest of our defenders were pretty shocking though to be fair.

And Benny was TERRIBLE (notice caps on) under Jol. He got injured, came back and then was in the team for a bit and Jol got sacked. Then Ramos came in who never lasted long and Redknapp came in, and then all of a sudden, 9/10 cats on here was rating him as #2 EPL best LB behind Ashley Cole.

Benny can't see behind him for fucks sake. He has no peripheral vision, which is especially important in a high line system, due to his stupid hair.

He's always been a nutter and he's shown he's a loose cannon. Yes maybe AVB doesn't suck his cock, but he's a grown man. Ig he's that precious then get rid of him come summertime. Ask yourself this: would someone like Fergie accept a player being so unpredictable? No chance. And that's why Fergie wins stuff. You need your player to have more character than ability. Look at Parker, he's useless this year, yet he's still important to us because he's so proactive and has a never say die attitude. He also has Livermore for competition but that's not my point.

I blame the hair, when Spurs players have stupid hair they play like shit!
  • Parker looks like he should be staring at maps in Bomber Command and plays like a 1940's throwback with no pace and wild tackles!
  • Benny lets the fro flow and he has an absolute mare!
  • Ade has tamed his and scored a goal

We need an onsite barber up in Enfield and we'll win the league!

Good call. Although you missed out the most obvious example. He even made his hair shit deliberately for charity... he should have realised that the second he announced that, he was destined to get injured, lose form, never score again and end his life with his face engulfed in what looks like an angry privet hedge.
