rob: anything you can do for those who want to donate but are out of the uk?

I'm certain paypal works if you're outside the UK as you can donate just by entering your card details, you don't need an account at all.

If you can use your debit/credit card to buy from Amazon or whatever online, it should work for donations.

If it really isn't working then a cheque's an option as a last resort :)

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

We've had a few whiney emails like the above but this one is clearly the winner.

Read this http://www.spurscommunity.co.uk/forums/showpost.php?p=982982&postcount=12

Keep reading it until you understand.

You have a huge mortage around your neck? Lucky you. I'm a student "earning" nothing and paying £200 a month just so you can come on here and complain. Not to mention the huge amount of time that myself and the mods put in for free.

That's a service which it seems many people would be happy to pay for but instead we're doing it for free and refusing to make it "members only" so that people like you who "can't afford" to donate (the equivalent of the price of a pint of beer every couple of months) can still come on here for free.

Luckily this is a really great community with a lot of great members who are happy to help out and even those who really can't afford to can at least accept what's happening and that we're definitely not removing their access at all, just making the server run more smoothly.

Sorry to everyone else for the rant but that one deserved it ;-)

Rob, the rofl response is the right one to that sort of comment. You, and your fellow godlike beings, know how much you're appreciated.

And just to prove it, you get some rep, or would money be more useful ... :think: Rep is cheaper ... but ... dang, money it is :roll:

I too spend a lot of time on SC because there's so much going on, not just with the football but in a real community sense.

I'm probably well down on the list when it comes to income and being able to afford luxuries - don't smoke, don't drink, hardly ever eat out or get takeaways nowadays, don't go away on holidays, can't turn heat off or down in cold weather because the old man is disabled and really feels the cold, etc. etc. There's very little I could give up, clothes, books, etc come from charity shops or sales/special offers. I really do have to watch the pennies and budget properly. Running my PC is probably my most expensive "luxury" and that's fairly cheap too.

No, i'm not whinging about that at all, but if I can afford a few quid for SC in return for the pleasure I get from it, I'm sure most other people on here can too, whatever their circumstances.

It's a question of priorities and where you want to spend whatever money you have available.

Depends which company and it's a variable rate so a bit hard to say but 5% as a rule of thumb.
