Harry's latest gem is that Adebayor has a top top offer from a top top German club. Looks like it's a straight choice for Adebayor between them and us.

The player with the offer from Germany is hitzelsberger, at no point is Germany ever mentioned in relation to adebayor.

I find it a little surprising that there isn't at least 1 European club who wants Adebayor with City paying half his wages

If we don't sign adebayor after all of Harry's comments it will prove what an amateur he is. Why the hell would you come out in the media like this(alerting other clubs in the process) if a deal isn't done. It will finally prove Harry is an idiot.

He said a deal is in the works, not that it has happened.

To be honest, the flip flopping over Beckham in January was much worse.

Have to agree although I think it's done save maybe a little paperwork

Peanuts comments sounds like the Adebayor deal may fall through because of certain Harry comments :bang:

Eek Who what when where??? dont panic me like this, what has peanut said??

Surely after all the talk Harry came out with yesterday I expect both Adebayor and Diarra will be unveiled soon.

So after saying in a press conference when asked what everyone knew and had been widely reported by said press, anyone claiming to be 'ITK', any man with a dog that plays golf near anyone remotely connected to Spurs and pretty much anyone else who happens to have not been living under a rock for the past year, but because he actually said about 5 words on the subject, it will scupper the deal and prove that the man that took a failing squad from relegation fodder to Champions League in the space of two seasons, as well as keeping what has become the most untenable job in the Premier League at a canter, is in fact a fucking idiot.

I can see the logic to be fair.

Although it is unlikely to matter in the case of Adebayor, I think Peanut is trying to point out that Harry almost publicly willing Levy to sell Modric in a press conference will make some clubs think "why should we accept x amount for our player when Spurs could get a lot of cash for Modric soon, we should just way it out until they get desperate and offer more". In fact wasn't that rumoured to be the reason we never got Arshavin as we agreed a deal and then they found out Keane was sold for a lot more than they believed he would be so wanted more money.

I'm not saying that this is the case for any deals we are working on, i'm more just trying to point out the logic behind peanut's post

Well, don't have much faith in a paper like that, but I don't approve of Redknapp's "If Modric is leaving lets do it now" style remarks. :bang:

Not for here, really...but I think all he is saying is if levy's balls are gonna fail him, he is as well selling now, when we can put the money to some use. Not that he thinks or wants Levy to bottle it. A message to Levy, pure and simple, probably to ensure he keeps his resolve.
Hope I'm right.

What are you actually on about?

I think Peanut said something about Reknapp's Modric chatter could scupper deals.

Let's please not start letting Peanut and POTL run SC like they do COYS.

Peanut might be a very good ITK, but he abuses his position with his anti Harry agenda/pro Levy stance because he knows people have their cocks in hand hanging on his every word.
